Customer Solutions Engineer Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer solutions engineer in Louisiana?
Most Louisiana employers require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a closely related field. Louisiana does not issue a state-specific license for this role, so hiring decisions center on technical certifications from vendors like AWS, Salesforce, or Microsoft alongside hands-on experience with enterprise software. Building a portfolio through internships with New Orleans or Baton Rouge technology firms or energy companies strengthens early-career applications considerably.
Which companies hire customer solutions engineers in Louisiana?
Companies currently hiring customer solutions engineers in Louisiana include Databricks, CVS Health, and NewMarket Services Corporation, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Louisiana's energy corridor and growing healthcare IT sector mean that both industrial technology vendors and clinical software companies are regular employers of this role across the state.
Which Louisiana cities have the most customer solutions engineer jobs?
Central, New Orleans, and Baton Rouge lead Louisiana for customer solutions engineer openings. New Orleans drives volume through its concentration of healthcare systems, logistics firms, and regional headquarters, while Baton Rouge's petrochemical and state government technology contracts sustain consistent demand, and Shreveport draws openings from industrial automation and regional healthcare IT vendors serving northwest Louisiana.
Are there remote customer solutions engineer jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 50% of customer solutions engineer openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of the role involves software demonstrations, virtual onboarding, and cloud configuration rather than on-site hardware work. Pre-sales and post-sales cloud integration positions are the most consistently remote, while implementation roles tied to on-premise enterprise systems tend to require at least occasional travel.
How can I get hired as a customer solutions engineer in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a technical support, inside sales engineering, or business analyst role into a junior solutions engineer position. Large Louisiana employers in energy technology and healthcare IT, including firms anchored in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, regularly bring on associate-level candidates who hold vendor certifications such as Salesforce Administrator or AWS Cloud Practitioner. Building a demo portfolio and targeting associate solutions consultant postings at regional systems integrators opens the door before you have direct customer solutions engineering experience on your resume.
Where can I find and apply to customer solutions engineer jobs in Louisiana?
You can find and apply to customer solutions engineer jobs in Louisiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current Louisiana openings in one place. Search the roles that fit your experience level and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that match your background.
