Customer Solutions Engineer Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer solutions engineer in New York?
Most customer solutions engineer roles in New York require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering, followed by hands-on technical experience in a customer-facing or implementation role. New York does not require a state-issued license for this position. Candidates strengthen their candidacy through vendor certifications from AWS, Salesforce, or Google Cloud, which are heavily emphasized by New York's large enterprise and financial technology employers.
Which companies hire customer solutions engineers in New York?
Employers hiring customer solutions engineers in New York right now include Google, Anthropic, and Datadog, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York City's dense concentration of financial services firms, media companies, and enterprise software vendors makes it one of the most consistent sources of customer solutions engineer demand in the country.
Which New York cities have the most customer solutions engineer jobs?
New York, New York City, and Albany are the New York cities with the most customer solutions engineer openings. New York City drives the majority of demand through its concentration of fintech firms, global banks, and enterprise software companies, while Albany and Buffalo contribute openings through state government technology contracts and regional mid-market employers with established technical sales and support operations.
Are there remote customer solutions engineer jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 40% of customer solutions engineer openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the role involves video-based product demos, written technical documentation, and digital onboarding calls. The parts most likely to remain on-site are enterprise kickoff meetings and hands-on implementation sessions for large New York City clients.
How can I get hired as a customer solutions engineer in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a technical support or implementation specialist role at a New York-based SaaS or fintech company, where you build the product knowledge and customer communication skills the role demands. Companies like IBM and Salesforce run associate solutions engineer programs in New York that are designed for recent graduates. A portfolio demonstrating API work, a Salesforce Administrator certification, or an AWS Cloud Practitioner credential gives candidates a measurable edge when applying without direct solutions engineering experience.
Where can I find and apply to customer solutions engineer jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to customer solutions engineer jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring in the state. Find roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly to each one.
