INTRODUCTION
Vortexa is a fast-growing international technology business founded to solve the immense information gap that exists in the energy industry. By using massive amounts of new satellite data and pioneering work in artificial intelligence, Vortexa creates an unprecedented view on the global seaborne energy flows in real-time, bringing transparency and efficiency to the energy markets and society as a whole. Vortexa is seeking a Solutions Architect Analyst to join its Americas team, based in Houston. This is a newly created role designed to expand local technical capacity in one of the fastest-growing energy markets in the world. The Solutions Architect Analyst will provide pre- and post-sales technical support, own standard integration workflows, and act as an in-market technical partner for Houston-area customers and prospects. Reporting to the Head of Solutions Architecture in New York, this is an excellent opportunity for an analytically-minded technologist with an interest in energy markets to build deep expertise at the intersection of data, APIs, and enterprise client delivery.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Engagement & Pre-Sales
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to scope presales requirements and define client-aligned technical solutions.
- Lead early-stage technical qualification alongside Sales — assessing prospect API-readiness, understanding existing data infrastructure, identifying internal champions, and defining what a successful proof of concept looks like before a trial begins.
- Deliver credible technical presentations of Vortexa's SDK/API capabilities to prospects and clients.
- Manage trial and POC engagements with defined success criteria and milestones — owning the technical outcome from setup through to conversion decision, not just providing reactive support.
- Own competitive technical positioning in client and prospect conversations — confidently addressing integration and data quality objections, and articulating Vortexa's API advantages relative to alternatives in the market.
- Create bespoke technical solutions and workflows leveraging Vortexa's external interfaces for energy and freight market intelligence use cases.
Post-Sales Support & Integration
- Provide ongoing support for newly onboarded API accounts, guiding integrations into client databases, applications, and BI environments.
- Collaborate with CSMs and Sales to proactively identify new integration opportunities and support deeper product adoption.
- Act as a client-facing conduit for product feedback, surfacing enhancement opportunities to the Product and R&D teams.
- Monitor API usage health across the active client base — tracking adoption patterns, flagging accounts showing low engagement or unusual drop-off, and initiating proactive outreach before issues become churn signals.
- Identify and develop technical champions within client organizations — building relationships with the individuals who own or influence the integration internally, ensuring Vortexa has an advocate when commercial conversations arise.
- Actively surface expansion signals to Sales — connecting client usage patterns (e.g., new data types being queried, increased call volume) to commercial opportunities and flagging them with the relevant account owner.
Technical Contribution
- Develop and maintain integration patterns, code examples, and technical documentation in Vortexa's Solutions GitHub repository (Python files, Jupyter notebooks).
- Contribute to content development — including tutorials, blog posts, and roadshow materials — that showcases the capabilities of Vortexa's SDK/API.
- Work collaboratively with the broader SA team using methods such as pair programming to develop efficient, reusable data scripts.
- Support Sales enablement — coaching AEs on when and how to engage the SA, how to handle basic technical questions independently, and how to position API vs. GUI delivery in discovery conversations.
- Support R&D teams in testing new features and improving SDK/API documentation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a STEM subject, Economics, or Finance.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in a technical or analytically rigorous role (internships and co-ops considered).

- Practical experience working with APIs and/or databases — either in a professional context or through substantive project work.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- A client-centric mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
Desirable
- Background in statistical or financial modelling.
- Exposure to commodities, energy (oil & gas, LNG), or freight markets — through coursework, internships, or prior roles.

- Familiarity with Jupyter notebooks and GitHub.
- Understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and their role in connecting AI models to external data sources and tools.

Customer Success Architect Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer success architect in Texas?
Customer success architect roles in Texas do not require a state-issued license, so the path runs through education and experience. Most Texas employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or computer science, combined with hands-on experience in customer success, solutions consulting, or technical account management. Industry certifications such as Gainsight's PX certification or cloud platform credentials from AWS or Microsoft Azure carry real weight with Texas hiring managers in enterprise software.
Which companies hire customer success architects in Texas?
Employers hiring customer success architects in Texas right now include Google, LangChain, and Neara, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of enterprise technology headquarters and regional offices, particularly across the Austin technology corridor and the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, keeps demand from large software and cloud companies consistently strong.
Which Texas cities have the most customer success architect jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Houston have the most customer success architect openings in Texas. Austin leads because of its dense cluster of SaaS and cloud company headquarters, while Dallas and Houston draw demand from large enterprise software firms and managed services providers serving the energy, finance, and healthcare sectors that anchor those metro economies.
Are there remote customer success architect jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 40% of customer success architect openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the work happens over video calls, shared dashboards, and asynchronous communication with enterprise clients. The portions of the role most likely to remain fully remote are account health reviews, onboarding coordination, and renewal strategy work.
How can I get hired as a customer success architect in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a customer success associate or technical account manager role at a Texas-based software company and building toward architecture-level responsibilities from there. Large Texas employers like Dell Technologies and Oracle run structured associate programs and rotational tracks that funnel candidates without direct experience into post-sales roles. Adjacent positions in solutions consulting, implementation support, or technical support at Texas SaaS companies are common starting points, and earning a Gainsight or Salesforce certification before applying gives early-career candidates a concrete credential to anchor their application.
