Customer Success Consultant Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer success consultant in Texas?
Most Texas employers hire customer success consultants who hold a bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field, though no state-issued license is required for the role. Candidates who earn a Certified Customer Success Manager designation through recognized professional bodies gain a concrete edge in competitive Texas markets. Entry into the field often starts through account coordinator, inside sales, or technical support roles at Texas-based technology and software firms, where on-the-job exposure to customer lifecycle management builds the foundation employers look for.
How much do customer success consultants make in Texas?
Customer success consultants in Texas earn a median of about $61,680 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $33,360 for the lowest 10% to over $127,930 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire customer success consultants in Texas?
Employers hiring customer success consultants in Texas right now include JPMorganChase, First Command Financial Services, and Google, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's large concentration of enterprise software, cloud services, and financial technology companies means the field draws from a broad and consistently active employer base across the state.
Which Texas cities have the most customer success consultant jobs?
Dallas, Austin, and Houston lead Texas for customer success consultant openings. Austin's dense cluster of SaaS and technology headquarters drives the highest concentration of postings, while Dallas benefits from its large financial services and enterprise software presence, and Houston's energy technology and healthcare IT sectors generate steady demand for consultants managing complex client relationships.
Are there remote customer success consultant jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 20% of customer success consultant openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how naturally the role translates to distributed work when clients are managed through digital platforms and video communication. The portions of the role most commonly done remotely include ongoing account check-ins, onboarding sessions, and renewal conversations, while in-person work tends to be reserved for large client kick-offs or on-site implementations.
How can I get hired as a customer success consultant in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into the role from a customer-facing position such as inside sales representative, technical support specialist, or account coordinator, all of which Texas technology and software employers hire for in volume. Large Austin and Dallas-based SaaS companies regularly bring on customer success associates through structured onboarding programs designed for candidates without direct CS experience. Completing a Certified Customer Success Manager course and building a portfolio of client communication samples or case studies strengthens an application considerably when direct experience is limited.
Where can I find and apply to customer success consultant jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to customer success consultant jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and preferred location, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
