JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the Strategic Account Management team, the Customer Success Manager will own the strategy and GMV performance for B-Stock's scaled seller (client) segment; a large portfolio of longtail and SMB sellers served through an efficient, one-to-many model. You'll define how B-Stock covers and grows this segment, forecast and deliver its GMV, and build the operating model and playbook as we scale. This individual will work in a hybrid function at our Boston office location 2-3 days per week.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own GMV for the scaled seller portfolio: set targets, forecast quarterly, and deliver against the number.
- Build the coverage strategy and operating model for the segment, and define how it scales as B-Stock moves down-market.
- Segment the book and recommend where to invest for growth, retention, and reactivation.
- Develop and directly advise sellers on listing, pricing, and recovery strategies (auction, Buy-It-Now, Make-an-Offer) that lift conversion and recovery across the portfolio.
- Identify and convert growth opportunities; including new inventory, category and geographic expansion; and partner with Sales/BDR on a hunter motion; hand off breakout accounts to dedicated Account Management.
- Design the scalable engagement programs and automation that power the model, from outreach cadence to self-service.
- Report portfolio health, forecast, and performance to leadership.
- Partner cross-functionally with Account Management, Sales, Marketing, Client Services, and Product to shape the model and influence the roadmap.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- 5+ years in account management, customer success, or a seller/revenue role, including direct ownership of a revenue or GMV target.
- Track record building or scaling a coverage model, book strategy, or growth program.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills — comfortable forecasting and working in Salesforce and a BI tool such as Tableau.
- Consultative and strategic; familiarity with a sales methodology such as SPICED is a plus.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functionally and turn strategy into repeatable programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- B2B marketplace, recommerce, or e-commerce experience.
The pay rate for this role will range between $70,000 to $85,000, per annum. We consider many factors when determining salary offers, such as the applicant's work experience, education and training, skills, market data, and internal equity.
EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation packages, including bonus and options
- Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits
- Paid Time Off, telecommuting, and matching 401(K)
- Support for continuing education
- Team offsites, social events, and extracurricular activities are a staple
- Snacks, drinks, and the occasional box of donuts
THE COMPANY
B-Stock is the world's largest B2B re-commerce platform, connecting sellers and buyers of returned, trade-in, and overstock inventory. Our customers range from today's top brands and retailers that want best-in-class inventory resale management to tens of thousands of entrepreneurs looking to purchase valuable merchandise for their resale businesses.
While the amount of returned and overstock inventory continues to grow, there is also growing pressure on retailers and consumers to adopt a more circular economy and keep products in use as long as possible. Accordingly, the need for re-commerce solutions - to find products a second life - has never been greater! At B-Stock we're proud to play a large part in powering resale, reuse, and the circular economy through our platform: annually we sell over 130 million items across all categories and conditions, equating to 400 million pounds of inventory.
We believe there is tremendous value in and demand for this inventory - no matter the category, condition, or location. With hundreds of thousands transactions completed annually, B-Stock gives buyers a simple and direct way to buy valuable products directly from retailers and offers sellers a technology-driven replacement for traditional resale methods, while boosting operational efficiency, recovery rates, and cycle time.
Led by eBay veterans and backed by top investors including Spectrum Equity, True Ventures, and Susquehanna Growth Equity, B-Stock shows no signs of slowing down. Our core values have shaped the company we are today and will continue to drive our success for many years to come.

OUR VALUES
Make Each Dollar Count
Whether it's the recovery amount or a buyer's budget, money matters to all of our clients. And because each dollar matters to them, it matters to us.
Take Our Work Seriously, Not Ourselves
Everything at B-Stock continues to grow - everything but our egos, that is. We're not afraid to let loose and laugh (often at ourselves).
Do The Hard Things Today That Will Pay Off Tomorrow
We're willing to sacrifice and endure, fail and adapt to reach our long-term goals.
Use Trust As The Best Measure Of Success
The trust we earn along the way is more valuable than money. Without trust from both our buyers and sellers, our business won't succeed.
Find Strength In Numbers
Use our passion for data to provide value to our customers, improve ourselves, and develop new ways to delight our buyers and sellers.
No applicant will face discrimination/harassment based on race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, age, gender, marital domestic partner status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, or veteran status. Above and beyond discrimination/harassment based on "protected categories," B-Stock also strives to prevent other, subtler forms of inappropriate behavior (e.g., stereotyping) from ever gaining a foothold in our office. Whether blatant or hidden, barriers to success have no place at B-Stock.
Work Authorization required.

Customer Success Engineer Jobs in Boston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a customer success engineer job in Boston?
The strongest path is targeting Boston's dense SaaS and healthtech sector, where companies in the Seaport and Kendall Square hire customer success engineers regularly. Hands-on experience with technical onboarding, API troubleshooting, or platform configuration sets candidates apart here. Familiarity with the healthcare or life sciences technology space is a recurring advantage, given how many Boston employers sit at that intersection.
Which companies hire customer success engineers in Boston?
Employers hiring customer success engineers in Boston right now include Datadog, Klaviyo, and Hi Marley, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Boston's hiring base skews toward growth-stage SaaS companies and established enterprise software firms, many of which maintain engineering and customer success teams in the same downtown or Seaport offices.
Are there remote customer success engineer jobs in Boston?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: customer success engineers handling technical implementations or on-site client work tend to be in-office, while those focused on product adoption and account health are more often remote-eligible. About 80% of customer success engineer openings tied to Boston are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Fully remote roles are most common among Boston's cloud software employers.
How can I get a customer success engineer job in Boston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a technical support engineer or solutions associate at one of Boston's many SaaS startups, then moving into customer success as you build product knowledge. Early-stage companies in the Seaport and Innovation District are more likely to hire candidates who combine technical aptitude with strong communication, even without direct customer success titles on their resume.
Which industries hire the most customer success engineers in Boston?
Most customer success engineer openings in Boston sit in Technology & Software and Science & Research, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Boston's concentration of healthtech, cybersecurity, and enterprise SaaS companies creates consistent demand for engineers who can bridge technical depth and client-facing work across complex, high-stakes software environments.
