Overview
As a Dental Assistant, you’ll help keep appointments running smoothly while supporting safe, attentive care for patients. You’ll prepare treatment rooms, assist the dental team during procedures, and maintain accurate records. Your work may support general dentistry and pediatric dentistry.

Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assisting, including four-handed dentistry, and prepare dental equipment and instruments for procedures.
- Take dental X-rays and support medical imaging, including use of a 3D scanner, as directed and within applicable requirements.
- Process, clean, and sterilize instruments using dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and infection prevention and control practices.
- Record vital signs, update medical records, and complete medical documentation while following clinical confidentiality policies and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Support patient management, scheduling, and reception tasks as needed, including dental receptionist duties.
Skills
- Essential: Dental assisting or dental clinic experience; patient care skills; knowledge of dental and medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control.
- Essential: Familiarity with dental instrument processing, dental equipment, and healthcare infection prevention and control.
- Preferred: Experience with Dentrix Ascend a plus.
- Preferred: Exposure to pediatric dentistry, pediatrics, general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or oral surgery.
- Helpful: Knowledge of dental codes, x-ray procedures and clinical records.
Pay: From $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 36.0 per week
