In this role, you will set the production vision and operational strategy for complex, multi-disciplinary creative programs spanning brand campaigns, immersive experiences, product launches, and editorial content. You will serve as the senior production authority across creative design initiatives, partnering with creative directors, product teams, and external studios to deliver work that defines how billions of people experience Meta's products and brand.
Print Producer Lead, Design Studio Responsibilities:
- Lead budget forecasting, resourcing, actualization, and spend allocation at a project level
- Expert level knowledge of retouching and print production, including RGB to CMYK conversion, printing processes, securing a drawdown and final color matching approvals, and solving on-press issues
- Expert level knowledge of materials, papers, substrates, inks, coatings and finishing techniques — including specialty applications such as spot UV, foil stamping, embossing/debossing, soft-touch coatings, and metallic inks
- Expert level knowledge of color management across multiple substrates (SBS, corrugated, coated/uncoated papers, plastics, rigid board) and global print production sites
- Working knowledge of packaging sustainability standards — FSC/PEFC certifications, recycled content requirements, EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) compliance, and corporate sustainability commitments
- Intermediate level knowledge of CGI render production and digital asset pipeline for hero imagery, including product renders and illustrations used on packaging surfaces
- Generalist level of knowledge in business affairs, copywriting, community management, design, engineering, product development, and strategy
- Leverage existing relationships or create new ones with other Meta teams in order to ensure production goals and delivery — including cross-functional collaboration, hand-off or sunsetting during a typical product lifecycle
- Manage presentation and feedback stages with key stakeholders (retouching, finishing, material, and proof reviews). Collaborate with program managers to manage print production timelines for packaging programs based on project specs and distribution plans
- Coordinate with Industrial Design and hardware engineering teams on material compatibility, ink/foil adhesion testing, and print durability across mixed-material substrates (i.e., plastics, laminated paper constructs, etc.)
- Manage multi-SKU and regional variant production — including multilingual adaptations, region-specific regulatory panels, and colorway-driven packaging variations
- Oversee prototyping, sample management, and physical proof workflows — coordinating with cross-functional partners, contract manufacturers and pre-press vendors across global supply chains (often APAC-based)
- Other producers consult this person as a mentor
- may or may not have direct reports
- Helps make the entire producer group better through recruiting, mentoring, process refinement, etc
Minimum Qualifications:
- Has a track record of repeatedly delivering meaningful results or multiple large-scale systems that have demonstrably impacted a brand's trajectory
- Experience working with top pre-press and printing vendors — including familiarity with global print supply chains and contract manufacturing coordination for consumer electronics
- Expert-level understanding of print specifications for packaging — including understanding of dielines, substrate selection, ink systems (conventional, UV, digital), and finishing processes
- Basic knowledge of packaging testing protocols — including drop testing, ink adhesion, lightfastness, and rub resistance as they relate to print quality durability in shipping and retail environments
- Self-driven, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
Preferred Qualifications:
- A supervisory knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Knowledge of structural packaging software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, Studio/Visualizer, or equivalent) a plus
- Knowledge of digital asset management (DAM) systems and version control workflows for artwork files across large-scale packaging programs
- Demonstrated experience managing packaging production for consumer electronics or hardware products — including regulatory compliance workflows, multi-SKU programs, and retailer-specific shelf requirements
