Director Field Sales Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a director field sales in Nebraska?
Most director field sales roles in Nebraska require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a closely related field combined with several years of progressive outside sales experience. Nebraska does not issue a state license specifically for field sales directors, so the path runs through demonstrated performance as an account executive or regional sales manager. Large Nebraska employers in insurance, ag-tech, and manufacturing typically promote from within or recruit candidates who already hold industry-specific credentials like CPCU for insurance or CPC for staffing.
How much do director field saleses make in Nebraska?
Director field saleses in Nebraska earn a median of about $126,990 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,410 for the lowest 10% to over $227,870 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire director field saless in Nebraska?
Nebraska director field sales roles are posted by AT&T, Cassling, and Birch Talent and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nebraska's strong base of insurance carriers, agricultural equipment firms, and regional distribution companies means director-level field sales openings appear consistently throughout the year rather than clustering around a single hiring season.
Which Nebraska cities have the most director field sales jobs?
Omaha, Lincoln, and Nebraska are the Nebraska cities with the most director field sales openings. Omaha dominates because it serves as the regional headquarters for major insurance, financial services, and logistics employers, while Lincoln benefits from its state government presence and growing technology sector, and Grand Island draws hiring from agricultural equipment and food processing companies that rely on field sales leadership to cover Nebraska's rural commercial territory.
Are there remote director field sales jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, but they're rare. Field sales directors are expected to be present in their territory, coach reps in person, and meet clients face to face, so fully remote roles make up a minority of openings. About 28% of director field sales openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those that are hybrid typically allow remote work for administrative and strategy tasks while requiring regular travel across Nebraska and neighboring states.
How can I get hired as a director field sales in Nebraska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as an account executive or territory sales representative with a large Nebraska employer and building a record of quota attainment before moving into a team lead role. Companies like Sandhills Global and Mutual of Omaha run structured sales development programs that place early-career candidates on a defined track toward management. Earning an industry credential, such as a CPCU for insurance or an agricultural sales certificate through the University of Nebraska's extension program, strengthens a promotion case and signals seriousness to Nebraska hiring managers.
Where can I find and apply to director field sales jobs in Nebraska?
You can find and apply to director field sales jobs in Nebraska on Migrate Mate, which lists current Nebraska openings updated in real time.
