Position summary

The E-Commerce Associate is responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders from picking through final shipment. This role ensures products are properly selected, inspected, packed, labeled, and prepared for carrier pickup while maintaining Sloomoo's standards for quality and accuracy.

This position also supports inventory organization, returns processing, shipping documentation, and other day-to-day e-commerce operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage a high volume of orders while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage and fulfill e-commerce orders accurately and efficiently using Shopify and other shipping systems.
• Pick products according to order documentation and verify the accuracy, quantity, and condition of each item.
• Perform quality checks before packing to ensure products meet Sloomoo's standards and are free of damage.
• Pack a high volume of orders according to established packaging and presentation standards.
• Print, sort, and organize packing slips, shipping labels, and other required shipment documentation.
• Select appropriate shipping methods based on service requirements, cost, and delivery timelines.
• Operate packaging and light warehouse equipment safely and according to established procedures.
• Identify and locate missing inventory or unresolved “can't find” items during order fulfillment.
• Sort completed shipments into the appropriate carrier or outbound shipping area.
• Assist with labeling and organizing outbound shipping containers.
• Support daily carrier pickups and shipping close-out processes.
• Process customer returns according to company policies and procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts, physical inventories, and maintaining accurate product organization.
• Move, organize, stack, and store merchandise safely within designated storage and e-commerce areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation and ensure work areas are clear of product at the end of each shift.
• Participate in required training, daily huddles, and team meetings.
• Troubleshoot order, inventory, packing, and shipping issues and escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Collaborate effectively with Production, Inventory, and other teams to support daily operations.
• Follow all company policies, quality standards, and workplace safety procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous e-commerce fulfillment, warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, or related experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy and product quality.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Basic computer and data entry skills with the ability to learn e-commerce and shipping software.
• Experience with Shopify and ShipStation is preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot routine fulfillment issues.
• Ability to safely operate light warehouse and packaging equipment.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to following workplace quality and safety standards.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
• Minimum age: 18 years.

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, twist, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to reach overhead and at or below waist level to retrieve, pack, organize, and store merchandise.
• Ability to use hands and fingers for grasping, gripping, labeling, packing, scanning, taping, and handling products.
• Ability to safely move boxes, merchandise, shipping supplies, and inventory throughout the work area.
• Ability to perform repetitive picking and packing tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to safely operate and work around packaging and light warehouse equipment as required.
