Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Account Associate
Align your degree to the role
Account Associate positions require a direct tie between your qualification and the job duties. A business, marketing, or communications degree supports most filings, but a generic arts degree paired with account management duties may draw USCIS scrutiny at the consulate.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications for account or sales roles. Prior LCA filings signal that HR and legal teams already understand the E-3 process and won't need educating mid-offer.
Raise sponsorship early in negotiations
Bring up E-3 requirements before the offer stage, not after. Explain that your employer files the LCA with DOL, you handle the consulate appointment in Australia, and there is no lottery or quota risk for them.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the paperwork
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This removes the administrative burden from your new employer, which often removes their hesitation about sponsoring in the first place.
Verify your employer qualifies for E-3
Your employer must have a legitimate U.S. business and be able to pay the prevailing wage DOL certifies on the LCA. Startups without a formal payroll structure or sole-trader arrangements can fail this test even when the job itself qualifies.
Prepare credential evidence before outreach
Gather certified transcripts, your Australian degree certificate, and any account management certifications before you start applying. Consular officers sometimes request credential documentation at the visa interview, and having it ready prevents delays after an offer.

Find Account Associate JobsAccount Associate E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Account Associate jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Account Associate roles filtered by E-3 sponsorship. Standard job boards don't filter by visa type, so you end up applying broadly and discovering sponsorship availability late in the process. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with active E-3 or LCA filing history for account and sales support roles specifically.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Account Associate role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or communications, and the job duties reflect that requirement. Generic account coordinator roles where any degree suffices can fail the specialty occupation test. The job description should specify the degree field, not just list a degree as preferred.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Account Associate positions?
The E-3 has no lottery, no annual cap that fills up, and your employer can file an LCA and have you at work within weeks of an offer. The H-1B requires lottery registration in March, a cap-subject petition, and a wait until October 1 at the earliest. For Australian professionals in account roles, the E-3 is substantially faster and more predictable.
Can I change employers on an E-3 while working as an Account Associate?
Yes, but you need a new LCA and a new visa before you start with the new employer. Unlike the H-1B, the E-3 does not have a portability provision that lets you begin work on a pending petition. You'll typically need to travel to Australia for a new consulate appointment, so factor that into your transition timeline when negotiating a start date.
