Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Agency Sales Manager
Frame your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 visa purposes. Document your qualification with official transcripts and a credential evaluation letter to remove any employer hesitation during the offer stage.
Target agencies with existing E-3 filing history
Search DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data to identify advertising, media, and insurance agencies that have previously filed E-3 LCAs for sales roles. These employers already understand the process and won't need convincing that sponsorship is straightforward.
Clarify the LCA process before your first interview
Many hiring managers confuse the E-3 LCA with the H-1B lottery. Prepare a one-paragraph explanation: the employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL, which typically certifies within seven business days, and no lottery or quota applies to Australians.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your paperwork
Once you have a signed offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle the LCA, DS-160, and consulate preparation end-to-end. This keeps the employer's administrative burden minimal, which is often the deciding factor for smaller agencies.
Position your book of business as a specialty asset
E-3 specialty occupation approval depends on the role requiring a degree-level skill set. In your application, emphasize strategic account planning, data-driven territory analysis, and cross-functional coordination rather than general relationship management.
Negotiate your start date around consulate appointment windows
E-3 visa interviews are conducted at Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth consulates. Appointment availability varies by consulate and time of year, so align your proposed start date with realistic booking lead times rather than committing to an exact day at offer signing.
E-3 Visa Agency Sales Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Agency Sales Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It surfaces Agency Sales Manager roles where employers have demonstrated willingness to sponsor E-3 visas, so you're not cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with the process. Filtering by role and visa type saves significant time compared to general job searches where sponsorship willingness is rarely disclosed upfront.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Agency Sales Manager role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as business administration, marketing, or communications. Roles focused purely on commission-based direct sales with no degree requirement can be harder to qualify. Employers strengthen the case by documenting that the position involves strategic planning, budget management, or analytical responsibilities that require degree-level training.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Agency Sales Manager roles?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so you can apply at any time of year as soon as you have a job offer. H-1B petitions are capped at 85,000 annually and selected by random lottery in April, meaning most applicants wait a year or more for a chance. For Australian sales professionals, the E-3 is the faster and more reliable path into a U.S. role.
Can I change agencies while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but you need a new LCA and visa documentation tied to the new employer before you start. The E-3 is employer-specific, so you can't simply transfer it. Your new employer files a fresh LCA with DOL, you attend a consulate interview in Australia or apply for a change of status if you're already in the U.S., and your new E-3 is issued independently of your previous one.
