Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Growth Associate
Align your degree to the role
E-3 visa requires your degree field to directly relate to the Growth Associate position. A marketing or business degree supports growth roles; a degree in an unrelated field can trigger a denial. Document how your coursework maps to the job duties before applying.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Growth Associate roles sit inside growth, product, and marketing teams at tech, SaaS, and DTC companies. Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to confirm a company has filed LCAs before reaching out about E-3 sponsorship.
Frame sponsorship early in outreach
Many U.S. startups don't know the E-3 exists and assume visa sponsorship means H-1B lottery risk. Mention in your first message that you're an Australian citizen eligible for the E-3, which has no cap and no lottery, so the hiring process runs on their timeline.
Get your employer to file the LCA first
Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before you can apply for the visa. Standard DOL processing runs seven business days. Build this into your start-date negotiation so neither side is caught off guard by the timeline.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service end-to-end
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA filing, DS-160, and consulate preparation. This keeps the process on track and removes the documentation burden from your new employer's HR team.
Prepare for specialty occupation scrutiny
Consular officers sometimes question whether Growth Associate roles require a degree. Bring the official job description, your offer letter, and evidence that the role involves specialized analytical or strategic work tied specifically to your degree field.
E-3 Visa Growth Associate: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Growth Associate jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Use Migrate Mate to search Growth Associate roles filtered by E-3 visa sponsorship. Most general job boards don't let you filter by visa type, so you end up cold-screening hundreds of listings. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with verified sponsorship history, which saves significant time at the top of your search.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Growth Associate role qualify as a specialty occupation under the E-3?
Yes, when the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as marketing, business, economics, or data analytics. The degree requirement must be stated in the job description or demonstrable from industry norms. Roles that accept any degree or substitute years of experience without a degree requirement are harder to support under the E-3 specialty occupation standard.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Growth Associate roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no cap backlog for Australian nationals, while H-1B selections are randomized from a pool that regularly exceeds 400,000 registrations for 85,000 slots. For Growth Associate candidates, this means E-3 sponsorship can move from offer to visa stamp in weeks rather than requiring lottery luck and potentially a year-long wait.
Can I change employers on an E-3 while working as a Growth Associate?
Yes, but you can't transfer your existing E-3 to a new employer. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL, and you'll need to attend a new consular interview in Australia or at a U.S. consulate abroad. There's no portability provision like H-1B has under AC21, so plan your transition timeline to avoid an authorization gap.
