Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Advertising Manager
Translate your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree in marketing or communications is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 purposes. Prepare a credential summary that maps your qualification to the specialty occupation requirement before you start outreach.
Target agencies with existing LCA filing history
Advertising agencies and in-house marketing teams that have sponsored international workers before already understand the LCA process. Prioritize roles at companies with documented DOL labor condition application history, they're far less likely to withdraw an offer over sponsorship complexity.
Clarify the specialty occupation link in interviews
Advertising Manager roles must require a degree in a specific field, not just any bachelor's degree, to qualify. Come prepared to explain how your marketing or communications degree directly supports the role's duties, officers assess this during consular review.
Use Migrate Mate to handle your LCA and visa paperwork
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from LCA filing with DOL through to consulate appointment preparation, reducing the administrative burden on both you and your employer.
Request an offer letter that names your job title precisely
Your offer letter must describe the position in terms that support the specialty occupation definition. Ask your employer to list 'Advertising Manager' as the exact title and include the required degree field, vague descriptions slow down LCA certification.
Book your consulate appointment before your start date is fixed
E-3 consular processing at Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth typically takes two to six weeks depending on appointment availability. Align your employer's planned start date with realistic consulate wait times so you're not renegotiating your offer after accepting it.

Find Advertising Manager JobsAdvertising Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Advertising Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for roles with E-3 sponsorship. It filters jobs by visa type and role, so you're not sorting through listings from employers who don't sponsor. Search for Advertising Manager roles directly on Migrate Mate to find opportunities where employers are already familiar with the E-3 process.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Advertising Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, if the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as marketing, advertising, or communications. The role must genuinely require that specialized knowledge, not just prefer it. If a job listing says 'degree preferred' rather than 'required,' the specialty occupation case is weaker and worth clarifying with the employer before accepting an offer.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Advertising Manager roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no numerical cap, so you can apply at any point in the year and get a decision within weeks. The H-1B is capped at 85,000 per year with a randomized lottery, meaning qualified candidates are regularly shut out regardless of merit. For Australian advertising professionals, the E-3 is a far more reliable path to U.S. employment.
What happens to my E-3 status if I change advertising employers in the U.S.?
Your E-3 is employer-specific, so changing jobs means starting the process again with your new employer. They'll need to file a new LCA with DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp, which typically requires returning to Australia for a consulate appointment. A 60-day grace period applies after your employment ends, giving you time to arrange the transition.
