Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a National Account Manager
Frame your Australian portfolio for U.S. expectations
U.S. hiring managers expect documented revenue impact, not just relationship management. Translate your Australian account results into U.S. metrics like ARR growth, churn reduction, and contract expansion to clear the specialty occupation bar at interview and during LCA review.
Target enterprise employers with dedicated HR teams
Mid-size and enterprise companies in CPG, SaaS, and medical devices routinely file E-3 visa LCAs and have in-house HR familiar with the process. Smaller firms may want to sponsor but lack the infrastructure, which delays your start date.
Verify your degree field aligns with the posted role
DOL requires a direct connection between your degree field and the National Account Manager position. A business or marketing degree typically satisfies this, but a degree in an unrelated field needs documented equivalency before your employer files the LCA.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork
Once you have an offer, the LCA and DS-160 need to move fast to hit your start date. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from offer to consulate appointment, so you're not coordinating between your employer's HR and USCIS yourself.
Negotiate your start date around LCA certification timing
DOL certifies LCAs within seven business days under normal conditions, but your employer can't submit visa paperwork until certification is complete. Build at least two weeks of buffer into your offer start date to avoid a gap if DOL processing runs longer.
Prepare for prevailing wage scrutiny in your territory
DOL sets prevailing wage by job title and geographic location. National Account Manager roles in major metro markets like New York or San Francisco carry higher wage floors than regional markets, so confirm your offered salary meets the DOL prevailing wage for your specific work location.
E-3 Visa National Account Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find National Account Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lists National Account Manager roles from U.S. employers open to E-3 sponsorship, so you're not filtering through generic job boards that don't flag visa status. Search by role, location, and industry to find positions where the employer already understands the E-3 process and won't need educating from scratch.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a National Account Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field like business, marketing, or sales management, and your degree aligns with that field. The role must be defined in a way that requires theoretical and practical application of specialized knowledge, not just general sales experience. Job descriptions that list a degree as 'preferred' rather than 'required' can create complications at the consulate.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for National Account Manager roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no cap, so your employer can file at any time and you can start as soon as your visa is approved, typically within weeks of your interview. The H-1B visa requires winning a lottery with roughly a 25% selection rate and only allows an October 1 start date for cap-subject roles. For Australian nationals, the E-3 is the clear practical advantage in this occupation.
What happens to my E-3 status if I change employers or move to a new account territory?
Changing employers requires a new LCA and a new E-3 visa before you start with the new company. You can't port between employers the way some other visa categories allow. Moving to a new work location within the same company may also require an amended LCA if the new location is in a different Bureau of Labor Statistics area with a different prevailing wage.
