Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Benefits Sales Executive
Frame your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree in business or finance is generally accepted as equivalent to a four-year U.S. degree for E-3 purposes. Get a credential evaluation letter prepared before interviews so employers aren't surprised during the sponsorship conversation.
Target insurance carriers and employee benefits brokerages
Benefits Sales Executive roles at regional brokerages and national carriers like Cigna, Unum, or Guardian are far more likely to have in-house HR teams familiar with E-3 sponsorship than smaller independent agencies. Focus your outreach there first.
Clarify the specialty occupation link early
Not every sales title qualifies for E-3 status. Roles requiring a specific degree in finance, human resources, or risk management carry a cleaner specialty occupation argument than generalist sales positions. Ask the hiring manager how the job description is written before accepting an offer.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your LCA and paperwork
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles the DOL Labor Condition Application, consulate preparation, and all visa documentation end-to-end, so your employer doesn't need prior E-3 experience to sponsor you successfully.
Confirm your employer meets prevailing wage before signing
Your offer must meet DOL prevailing wage for the Benefits Sales Executive role in your specific metro area. The DOL sets this by SOC code and location, so a salary that looks competitive in one city may fall short of the LCA wage requirement in another.
Request a two-year E-3 stamp at your Australian consulate appointment
E-3 visas are issued in two-year increments with no cap on renewals, so confirm your employer files the LCA for the full two-year period. Shorter LCA validity limits your visa stamp duration and forces earlier renewal cycles.

Find Benefits Sales Executive JobsBenefits Sales Executive E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Benefits Sales Executive jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search Benefits Sales Executive roles filtered specifically for E-3 visa sponsorship, so you're not wading through listings from employers unfamiliar with the visa. Because the E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, employers who do sponsor face far less administrative burden than with H-1B, which makes targeted outreach to benefits-focused companies highly effective.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Benefits Sales Executive role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3 purposes?
It can, but the job description matters. The role needs to require a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as business, finance, human resources, or risk management, not just any degree. A generic sales title with no degree requirement in the posting will struggle to meet the specialty occupation definition USCIS applies to E-3 petitions.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Benefits Sales Executives?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so you can apply any time of year and start work as soon as your visa is approved. The H-1B requires entering a randomized lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection chance, and approval doesn't guarantee a start date until October 1. For Benefits Sales Executives with Australian citizenship, the E-3 is the faster and more reliable path.
Can I change employers or move to a new benefits firm on my E-3?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh Labor Condition Application with the DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp reflecting the new employer. You can begin working for the new company once the LCA is certified and your new visa is issued, so plan for a gap of several weeks between roles if you're switching mid-status.
