About Rippling
Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.
Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.
Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.
We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.
About the role
Business Operations drives some of Rippling’s most impactful initiatives and addresses mission-critical challenges that shape our product development, go-to-market approach, customer operations, and overall company success. This small and high-performing team excels at bringing structure to ambiguity, crafting strategic direction, aligning stakeholders, and driving operational excellence. Business Operations acts as the “connective tissue” between functions and allows our compound startup to operate “as one”.
We are looking for new BizOps Managers who are exceptional problem-solvers (able to break down complex business challenges using first-principles thinking), self-driven contributors (able to execute complex analysis with minimal supervision), hands-on operators (able to work through obstacles and get things done), and trusted partners (able to build trust and influence executive stakeholders). BizOps Managers are successful when they drive crucial business outcomes, lead successful initiatives 0-to-1, and execute on our biggest strategic and operational decisions.
Successful individuals may be called to take on specific business challenges permanently, making this team an ideal place to gain both executive and operational experience in an ultra-high-growth business and to launch into a functionally aligned career in a leadership role.
- Identify hotspots in the business that require intervention and proactively investigate, strategize, and implement solutions with those business leaders to drive efficiency
- Develop and optimize monetization strategies, including pricing and packaging, to position our diverse set of products competitively in the market and accelerate growth
- Partner with eng, product, go-to-market, sales and other functions to launch new initiatives and help them optimize their operations through systems, process, and product modifications
- Analyze the data relevant to any project or focus area; run your own queries, build your own dashboards, build your own Pivot Tables
- Partner with our finance and revenue ops organizations to standardize and distribute the key operating metrics for the business
What you will need
- 8+ years of experience in management consulting, business operations, venture capital, private equity, or as a founder. We will consider high-trajectory candidates with fewer years of experience but at top companies with a clear track record of excellence.
- Experience in a highly cross-functional role and can clearly describe and work within the organizational dynamics of a fast-growth company
- Naturally analytical mindset; the candidate gravitates toward a spreadsheet rather than a slide deck
- Ability to operate at all altitudes – discussing strategy and vision with executives, and troubleshooting operations with individual contributors
- An extreme degree of ownership and grit. You do not let go until a problem is solved for good
- Ability to execute with conviction and good judgment with limited guidance; needs minimal direction in an ambiguous context to take action and then adapt quickly

Translate your Australian credentials precisely
Your three-year Australian bachelor's degree is accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 purposes. Request a credential evaluation letter from your university confirming your degree field aligns with business operations or management to support the specialty occupation determination.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications for operations management roles. Prior LCA history signals an employer already understands the E-3 process and won't stall your offer while their legal team learns the requirements.
Frame your offer letter around specialty occupation requirements
Ask your prospective employer to specify in the offer letter that the Business Operations Manager role requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Vague job descriptions citing 'equivalent experience' as an alternative can trigger consular scrutiny on specialty occupation grounds.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for LCA and consulate prep
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from LCA certification through to your consulate appointment, reducing the back-and-forth between you, your employer, and DOL that often delays operations hires.
Address dual intent proactively at your consular interview
Operations managers moving into senior U.S. roles often face questions about long-term intent. The E-3 requires nonimmigrant intent, so prepare a clear account of your current Australian ties and your employer's fixed-term structure without volunteering green card plans.
Confirm your employer's E-Verify status before accepting an offer
Some U.S. employers and federal contractors are required to use E-Verify to confirm work authorization. Check your prospective employer's status through the E-Verify employer search before signing, so you're not caught off-guard during onboarding paperwork.

Find Business Operations Manager JobsBusiness Operations Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Business Operations Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter Business Operations Manager roles by E-3 sponsorship history, so you're only seeing employers who have filed for Australian professionals before. That removes the guesswork of cold-applying to companies that may not understand the E-3 visa or be willing to file an LCA.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Business Operations Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, in most cases. The role must require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business administration, management, or operations. Problems arise when job descriptions list the degree as 'preferred' rather than required, or when they accept any bachelor's degree regardless of field. Getting the offer letter wording right at the start prevents consular complications.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Business Operations Manager roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no cap on available visas, so you can start any time of year after receiving an offer. The H-1B requires registration in March with a randomized selection, meaning you could wait 12 months or longer before starting. For operations managers with a firm offer in hand, the E-3 is a significantly faster path to U.S. employment.
Can I switch Business Operations Manager employers while on an E-3?
Yes, but you need a new LCA and a new visa annotation for each employer. You can start working for a new employer once the new LCA is certified by DOL and you have your employer's documentation, but you cannot simply transfer your existing E-3 status. If you're currently outside your employer's notice period, plan the transition so your LCA certification timeline aligns with your start date.
