Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship in Logistics
Verify your degree aligns with the role
Logistics roles span a wide range of functions, and the E-3 visa requires your degree field to match the specific position. A degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or business logistics carries more weight than a general business degree for operations-heavy roles.
Target employers with DOL LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify logistics companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications before. Employers who have sponsored workers previously understand the process and are far less likely to withdraw an offer over paperwork concerns.
Frame your Australian experience in U.S. logistics terms
Hiring managers may not recognize Australian credentials or industry bodies without context. Translate your experience into U.S. supply chain frameworks, reference comparable software platforms like SAP or Oracle TMS, and clarify that your qualifications meet specialty occupation standards under E-3 rules.
Clarify the LCA timeline before accepting an offer
Your employer must file an LCA with the DOL before your visa application can proceed. This typically takes seven to ten business days. Confirm the employer is prepared to start this step immediately after signing, so your consulate appointment timeline isn't delayed waiting on their internal approvals.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork
Logistics roles often involve complex job descriptions that need to meet specialty occupation standards in the visa application. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the LCA filing, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment process so nothing falls through the gap between offer and interview.
Understand how job title variations affect your E-3 approval
Titles like 'Logistics Coordinator' can raise questions at the consulate if the role sounds operational rather than professional. Make sure your offer letter reflects the actual degree requirements of the position, and ask your employer to clearly document the specialized duties in supporting materials.
E-3 Visa Logistics: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find logistics jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for E-3 visa sponsorship roles. You can search logistics positions by title and location, filtering for employers with demonstrated sponsorship history. This removes the guesswork of approaching employers who may not be familiar with the E-3 or willing to sponsor international hires.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Do logistics roles qualify as specialty occupations under the E-3?
Many logistics roles qualify, but not all. Positions like supply chain analyst, logistics engineer, or operations manager typically meet the specialty occupation standard because they require a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or business. Entry-level coordinator roles that don't formally require a degree may not qualify without strong documentation of the position's educational requirements.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for logistics professionals?
The E-3 has a significant practical advantage for Australian logistics professionals: there's no lottery. H-1B visa applications are entered into a random selection process each April, and most applicants aren't chosen. The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been filled, so you can apply whenever you have a job offer. The trade-off is that E-3 is only available to Australian citizens.
Can I change logistics employers after I'm on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but the E-3 is employer-specific, so you can't simply transfer it. Your new employer needs to file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need to attend a new consulate interview to get a new E-3 stamp before you start. Some logistics professionals manage this by timing the transition during a planned trip home to Australia to avoid gaps in authorized employment.
