Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Business Manager
Frame your Australian degree for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 purposes. Get a credential evaluation ready before you apply so employers don't stall on sponsorship over a qualification question.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search the DOL's OFLC disclosure database for companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications for business or management roles. Prior LCA activity signals an employer already understands the E-3 process and won't treat sponsorship as a dealbreaker.
Clarify the specialty occupation case for your role
Business Manager titles can fail the specialty occupation test if the job description accepts any bachelor's degree regardless of field. Before accepting an offer, confirm the role specifies a degree in business, management, finance, or a related discipline.
Find sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to search Business Manager roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork from start to consulate appointment.
Start the LCA before resigning your current role
The DOL must certify the LCA before you can attend your consulate interview. Build at least two to three weeks of LCA processing time into your start-date negotiation so your employer isn't blindsided by the timeline.

Find Business Manager JobsBusiness Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Business Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Use Migrate Mate to search Business Manager roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. The E-3 requires no lottery and has no annual cap, so employers face far less friction than with H-1B sponsorship. Filtering for companies with prior LCA filing history for management roles significantly narrows the field to employers already familiar with the process.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Business Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is defined. The E-3 requires the position to normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. A Business Manager role that specifies a degree in business, finance, or management qualifies. Roles that accept any degree regardless of field, or that emphasize general leadership over professional expertise, are harder to support.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Business Manager roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so an Australian national with a qualifying offer can apply at any time of year without waiting for a selection round. H-1B sponsorship for the same role is subject to an annual lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection rate. The specialty occupation standard is the same under both visas, but the E-3 path is far more predictable.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as a Business Manager?
Yes, but the E-3 is employer-specific. You can't transfer it to a new employer the way an H-1B can port under AC21. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new visa stamp before starting work, which typically means a new consulate appointment in Australia or a third country.
