Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Production Control Manager
Translate your credentials for U.S. employers
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees in supply chain or operations are accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees for E-3 purposes. Get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before you apply so employers have documentation ready for the LCA filing.
Target manufacturers with dedicated HR teams
Mid-to-large manufacturers in aerospace, automotive, and medical devices regularly file E-3 sponsorship paperwork because they have in-house HR and legal capacity. Companies with fewer than 50 employees rarely have the infrastructure to manage DOL Labor Condition Application filings smoothly.
Search for E-3 sponsorship roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters Production Control Manager roles by employers with active E-3 and H-1B filing history, so you're not cold-applying to companies that have never sponsored a work visa. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork once you land an offer.
Frame your offer letter around specialty occupation language
Your offer letter must describe duties that require a specific bachelor's degree field, not just any degree. Ask your employer to include language like 'requires a degree in industrial engineering or supply chain management' rather than 'bachelor's degree preferred' to support the specialty occupation finding.
Confirm your employer's E-Verify enrollment before signing
E-Verify enrollment isn't required for most E-3 employers, but some states mandate it for federal contractors. Confirming enrollment status early prevents delays if your employer needs to register before USCIS can process your petition or if you're subject to state-level requirements.
Time your consulate appointment around production cycles
Production Control Managers are hardest to replace during fiscal year-end or peak manufacturing cycles. Coordinate your Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth consulate appointment at least eight weeks before your intended U.S. start date to buffer against administrative processing delays without leaving your employer short-staffed.

Find Production Control Manager JobsProduction Control Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Production Control Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search. It surfaces Production Control Manager roles specifically filtered by employers with E-3 and work visa sponsorship history, so you can focus on companies already familiar with the process. Generic job boards don't filter by visa sponsorship type, which means most results won't apply to your situation as an Australian national.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Production Control Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations management. Roles where any bachelor's degree satisfies the requirement, regardless of field, can face scrutiny. Your employer's offer letter and job description need to tie the duties directly to a degree-specific body of knowledge to support the specialty occupation finding.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Production Control Manager roles?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and has no annual cap or lottery, so you can apply at any time of year once you have a job offer. The H-1B is subject to an annual lottery with a roughly 25 percent selection rate for most applicants. Both visas require a specialty occupation determination and a certified Labor Condition Application filed with the DOL, but the E-3 process is faster and more predictable.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as a Production Control Manager?
Yes, but you can't simply transfer your existing E-3 to a new employer. Your new employer must file a fresh Labor Condition Application with the DOL and you'll need to obtain a new E-3 visa stamp, typically at an Australian consulate. You can start working for the new employer once the new LCA is certified and your visa is issued, so plan for a gap of several weeks between roles.
