E-3 Visa Operations Jobs
Operations roles in supply chain, logistics, and business process management qualify as E-3 specialty occupations when the position requires a relevant bachelor's degree. Australian professionals can secure E-3 visa sponsorship without competing in a lottery, and the visa renews in two-year increments for as long as you hold a qualifying role.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Operations
Frame your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, or business administration satisfies E-3 degree requirements. Make the equivalency explicit on your resume so U.S. hiring managers don't flag it as a gap before your interview.
Target employers with existing LCA filing history
Operations roles often sit inside procurement, logistics, or continuous improvement departments. Employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for those job codes before already understand the DOL certification step and won't balk at the process.
Clarify the specialty occupation link in your offer letter
The E-3 requires that the role normally demands a degree in a specific field. For generalist Operations titles, ask your employer to describe the degree requirement explicitly in your offer letter so the consular officer can confirm specialty occupation status without an RFE.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your LCA and consulate prep
The LCA must be certified by the DOL before your visa interview. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from offer to consulate appointment, so your employer doesn't need prior experience filing for Australian nationals.
Time your consulate appointment around your notice period
E-3 visas are issued at Australian consulates in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth, with appointment availability varying by location and season. Book as soon as your LCA is certified so consulate wait times don't push your U.S. start date past your Australian notice period.

Find Operations JobsOperations E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Operations jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles that include E-3 sponsorship. Operations positions in supply chain, logistics, and business process management appear regularly across mid-size and enterprise employers. Filtering by visa type lets you focus only on companies open to the E-3 process, saving time you'd otherwise spend vetting each employer individually.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Operations role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is defined. Operations titles that require a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations research, typically qualify. Generalist roles where any degree suffices are harder to support. The stronger the connection between the job duties and a specific degree field, the cleaner the specialty occupation case at your consulate interview.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Operations professionals?
The H-1B uses an annual lottery with roughly one-in-four selection odds, while the E-3 has a 10,500 annual cap that has never been reached. For Australian Operations professionals with a qualifying offer, the E-3 is a direct path without the lottery uncertainty. The application also goes through the consulate rather than USCIS, which typically moves faster than H-1B petition processing.
Can I change Operations employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but you need to restart the process with your new employer before you begin work there. Your new employer files a fresh LCA with the DOL, and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp tied to that role. If you're already inside the U.S., you can change employers once the new LCA is certified, but you cannot use your previous employer's approval for a different company.
