Position Summary
For over a century, Victaulic has been the global leader in mechanical pipe-joining solutions — trusted on the world's most critical infrastructure projects. Our distribution operations are the engine behind that reputation, and we're looking for a Warehouse Shift Supervisor who's ready to run the position floor. You'll own daily warehouse operations end to end: leading a team of associates, managing inbound and outbound shipping, coordinating cross-dock and yard operations, and driving the accuracy and speed our customers count on. If you thrive on building high-performing teams, solving real-time logistics challenges, and pushing for continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment, this is your opportunity to make a measurable impact at a company that values operational excellence as much as you do.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all warehouse, shipping, and receiving activities during assigned shifts
- Oversee inbound, outbound, and cross-dock operations to meet customer and branch delivery requirements
- Plan and manage shipping schedules, trailer flow, and dock capacity
- Coordinate domestic and export freight routing and manage carrier relationships
- Oversee yard operations to ensure safety, organization, and efficient trailer movement
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse associates — assigning daily work and balancing labor to workload
- Conduct shift-start meetings to communicate priorities, safety initiatives, and expectations
- Train new hires and reinforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Partner with management and HR on performance management and corrective actions
- Enforce OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and PPE requirements
- Proactively identify and address unsafe conditions and equipment issues
- Verify bills of lading (BOL), export documentation, and U.S. Customs compliance
- Ensure accuracy of shipments, receipts, and all inventory transactions
- Conduct cycle counts and investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Track and report KPIs including productivity, accuracy, attendance, and safety
- Identify and implement process improvements aligned with Lean and 5S principles
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred
- 3–5 years of warehouse or distribution center experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling equipment
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed

Translate your credentials into U.S. terms
Australian qualifications in supply chain management, operations, or logistics need to map clearly to U.S. specialty occupation standards. Frame your degree and supervory experience in terms of headcount managed, throughput metrics, and safety compliance systems American employers recognize.
Target employers enrolled in E-Verify
STEM-sector distribution centers and third-party logistics firms operating federally contracted warehouses must use E-Verify, signaling established immigration compliance infrastructure. These employers are far more likely to have HR teams familiar with E-3 visa sponsorship paperwork than smaller regional operators.
Find E-3 sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Warehouse Supervisor roles by employers with active E-3 or H-1B filing history. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service then manages the entire process from offer to consulate appointment, including LCA filing and visa paperwork.
Address the specialty occupation question early
Some hiring managers assume warehouse roles don't qualify for E-3 because the work is operational. Come prepared to explain that Warehouse Supervisor positions requiring a logistics or supply chain degree meet DOL specialty occupation criteria, and offer to walk HR through the LCA process.
Nail the LCA wage level before negotiating
Your employer's LCA must certify your wage at or above the DOL prevailing wage for Warehouse Supervisor roles in that metropolitan area. Review DOL wage data for your target city before accepting an offer so your negotiated salary doesn't create compliance problems at filing.
Plan your consulate timeline around shift handover
E-3 consulate interviews at Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth typically schedule several weeks out. Coordinate your notice period and start date with your U.S. employer accounting for this window, so your operational handover in Australia doesn't compress the time available to gather supporting documents.
E-3 Visa Warehouse Supervisor: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Warehouse Supervisor jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Warehouse Supervisor roles with confirmed E-3 sponsorship history. Standard job boards don't filter by visa sponsorship type, so you can't easily separate employers who understand the E-3 from those who've never heard of it. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with active sponsorship track records so you're not educating every recruiter from scratch.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Warehouse Supervisor role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is structured and what degree the employer requires. A Warehouse Supervisor position tied to a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or operations management can qualify. Where it becomes complicated is when an employer lists the degree as preferred rather than required, or when the duties are primarily physical rather than managerial and analytical. Getting the job description and LCA framing right is critical.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Warehouse Supervisor roles?
The E-3 is available only to Australian nationals, but it sidesteps the H-1B lottery entirely. For Warehouse Supervisor roles, that means you can apply any time of year without waiting for an annual registration window in April. The E-3 also renews indefinitely in two-year increments, whereas H-1B holders face a six-year cap before needing an extension pathway. The trade-off is that your employer still needs to file an LCA and you must interview at an Australian consulate.
Can I change employers after starting on an E-3 as a Warehouse Supervisor?
Yes, but the E-3 is employer-specific, so your new employer needs to file a fresh LCA and you'll need a new visa stamp before re-entering the U.S. if your current stamp has expired. If you're already inside the U.S., you can start with the new employer once the new LCA is certified and the employer has a valid E-3 petition in place, but you can't use your old employer's LCA.
