Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Regional Operations Director
Frame your credentials for specialty occupation
A Regional Operations Director role must require a relevant bachelor's degree to meet the E-3 specialty occupation standard. Document that your Australian degree and title-specific experience directly correspond to the DOL's defined job zone for this occupation before approaching employers.
Target multi-state employers with HR infrastructure
Companies managing operations across three or more U.S. states are far more likely to have legal teams familiar with LCA filings. Prioritize employers in logistics, healthcare systems, or manufacturing where regional director roles are standardized and sponsorship processes are already in place.
Address the LCA before negotiating your offer
Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before you can proceed to the consulate. Confirm during offer negotiations that HR will initiate the LCA promptly, since delays here push back your entire timeline regardless of consulate availability.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for complex structures
Regional Operations Directors often oversee multiple worksites, which can complicate prevailing wage determinations on the LCA. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork accurately across locations so your application reflects the correct wage level.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent scrutiny at interview
Consular officers assess E-3 applicants for nonimmigrant intent. As a senior director, you'll need to clearly demonstrate that your Australian ties remain intact, since officers view executive roles as carrying elevated immigrant intent risk compared to individual contributor positions.
Align your start date with LCA certification windows
DOL certifies most LCAs within seven business days, but employer HR teams often underestimate prep time for the public access file and job posting requirements. Build at least three weeks between signed offer and your proposed start date to avoid renegotiating with a new employer.

Find Regional Operations Director JobsRegional Operations Director E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Regional Operations Director jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. Rather than filtering through general job boards where sponsorship status is rarely disclosed upfront, Migrate Mate surfaces employers with active E-3 and LCA filing history so you can focus on companies already prepared to sponsor this visa for senior operations roles.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Regional Operations Director role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, supply chain management, or industrial engineering. Roles where any degree suffices, or where the degree requirement is listed as preferred rather than required, can fail the specialty occupation test. Your employer's job description must be precise about the educational requirement before the LCA is filed with DOL.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for a Regional Operations Director?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so your employer can file at any time of year and you can start once the LCA and consulate appointment are complete. The H-1B requires lottery selection in April with an October 1 start date at the earliest, and selection is not guaranteed. For a senior operations hire where timing matters, the E-3 is a substantially more predictable path for both you and your employer.
What happens to my E-3 status if I move from one region to another within the same company?
If the move involves a different work location, your employer typically needs to file an amended LCA with DOL reflecting the new prevailing wage for that location before you begin working there. The E-3 itself doesn't require a new visa stamp for internal transfers, but the LCA underpinning your status must cover your actual worksite. Your HR team should initiate the amended LCA before the relocation takes effect.
