Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Cath Lab Tech
Verify your credential equivalency early
U.S. hospitals require RCIS or RCES certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International for most Cath Lab roles. Confirm your Australian qualifications map to a U.S.-recognized credential before applying, so you don't lose an offer during credentialing review.
Target health systems with LCA filing history
Search the DOL's public LCA disclosure data for employers who have previously filed for cardiovascular technologist roles. Prior filings signal a hospital already understands E-3 sponsorship requirements and won't stall at the offer stage.
Clarify state licensure requirements before accepting
Several states require a separate cardiovascular technology license beyond federal credentialing. Confirm the licensing timeline for your target state with the employer before signing an offer, since you'll need an active or pending license to begin work.
Negotiate LCA filing into your offer timeline
The employer must file and receive a certified LCA from the DOL before your visa interview. Build at least two to three weeks into your start date for LCA certification so your consulate appointment isn't scheduled before the document is ready.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end support
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork from certification through your Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth consulate appointment. It removes the filing burden from both you and your employer.
Prepare a specialty occupation evidence packet
Consular officers assess whether your Cath Lab Tech role qualifies as a specialty occupation under E-3 rules. Bring your job description, your degree certificate, and documentation showing the role requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant clinical field.

Find Cath Lab Tech JobsCath Lab Tech E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Cath Lab Tech jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Use Migrate Mate to search for Cath Lab Tech roles filtered by E-3 visa sponsorship. Most general job boards don't flag visa sponsorship status accurately, so you can waste weeks applying to employers who won't support the process. Migrate Mate surfaces roles where employers are already familiar with or open to E-3 filings for Australian cardiovascular professionals.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Cath Lab Tech role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3 visa?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, or a related clinical field. The key is that your employer's job description must specify a degree requirement, not just prefer one. Roles listed as requiring only an associate degree or on-the-job training will not meet the E-3 specialty occupation standard.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Cath Lab Tech positions?
The E-3 is significantly more practical for Australian cardiovascular technologists. Unlike the H-1B, the E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so you can apply at any time of year after securing a job offer. The employer still files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, but the process moves directly to a consulate interview in Australia rather than waiting on a USCIS lottery result.
Can I transfer my E-3 visa to a new Cath Lab employer in the U.S.?
Yes, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll need to attend a new consulate interview or pursue a change of status with USCIS. The E-3 is employer-specific, so you cannot simply transfer it the way some other visa categories allow. Start the new filing process before your current role ends to avoid a gap in authorized work status.
