Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship in Client Partner
Align your degree to the role
Client Partner positions require demonstrating specialty occupation status. A degree in business, marketing, communications, or management directly supports your E-3 application. If your field is adjacent, gather documentation showing how your coursework applies to client strategy work.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Employers who have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for business development or account management roles already understand the E-3 process. Search DOL's public LCA disclosure data to identify companies that have sponsored similar roles before reaching out.
Frame your Australian client portfolio upfront
U.S. hiring managers often underestimate international account experience. Present your client portfolio in terms of contract value, market scope, and relationship tenure to establish immediate credibility before visa sponsorship even enters the conversation.
Negotiate LCA filing into the offer timeline
Your employer must file the LCA with DOL before you can apply for your E-3 visa. Build at least two to three weeks into your start-date negotiation to account for LCA certification, which DOL typically processes within seven working days.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the paperwork
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This covers DOL submission, consulate preparation, and document review so errors don't delay your start date.
Clarify who owns sponsorship costs before signing
E-3 sponsorship costs are typically borne by the employer, but this isn't legally mandated for all fees. Confirm which costs your employer covers before signing your offer letter to avoid surprises when filing begins.
E-3 Visa Client Partner: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Client Partner jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. You can filter Client Partner positions by companies that have demonstrated sponsorship willingness, saving you the manual work of vetting each employer. Most general job boards don't distinguish between visa types, so a targeted search through Migrate Mate is the most efficient starting point.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Client Partner role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, communications, or management. USCIS evaluates specialty occupation on a case-by-case basis, so the job description needs to reflect that a degree in a related discipline is a genuine requirement, not just preferred.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Client Partner roles?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been exhausted, meaning there's no lottery and no random selection. H-1B visa registrations for the same role compete in a capped lottery with historically low selection rates. For Australian professionals in client-facing roles, the E-3 is a significantly more predictable path to starting work in the U.S.
Can I change employers while working as a Client Partner on an E-3?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll need to obtain a new E-3 visa stamp before re-entering the U.S., or apply for a change of status if you're already stateside. There's no portability provision like AC21 for E-3 holders, so factor in a processing gap when planning any employer transition.
