Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship in Head Of Social
Frame your portfolio around measurable outcomes
U.S. employers assessing E-3 visa specialty occupation need evidence your role requires degree-level expertise. Present campaign metrics, team leadership scope, and strategic P&L impact to support both the offer letter and the LCA filing.
Target employers with existing LCA filing history
Search the DOL's public LCA disclosure data for marketing and communications roles. Employers who have filed LCAs before understand the process and are less likely to withdraw an offer over sponsorship paperwork.
Address specialty occupation in your cover letter
USCIS requires the Head of Social role to normally require a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Your cover letter should explicitly connect your communications or marketing degree to the strategic responsibilities in the job description.
Clarify visa timeline expectations before accepting an offer
E-3 consulate appointments in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth currently book out several weeks. Negotiate a start date that accounts for LCA certification time plus your consulate wait, so you don't lose the role over a scheduling gap.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your LCA and paperwork
The LCA must be certified by the DOL before you can attend your consulate appointment. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles the full process from LCA submission through consulate preparation, so no steps fall through after you accept an offer.
Verify your Australian degree meets the equivalency standard
A three-year Australian bachelor's in communications or marketing is generally accepted as equivalent to a four-year U.S. degree for E-3 purposes. Gather your official transcripts before you start interviewing so credential questions don't stall a late-stage offer.
E-3 Visa Head Of Social: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Head of Social jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australians searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. Rather than filtering through general job boards, you can search Head of Social and broader social media leadership roles where employers are open to the E-3 process, saving significant time in the employer identification stage.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Head of Social role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the employer requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as communications, marketing, or digital media. The key test is whether the degree is a normal requirement for the role, not merely preferred. Roles where any bachelor's degree is accepted regardless of field are harder to qualify, so the job description wording matters when your employer files the LCA with the DOL.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Head of Social roles?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been fully used, so there's no lottery and no random selection. The H-1B is subject to an annual lottery where most applicants are not selected regardless of qualifications. For a Head of Social role, the E-3 means your offer can move straight to LCA filing and a consulate appointment without waiting months to learn whether you were even entered into the system.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as a Head of Social?
Yes, but the E-3 is employer-specific. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new visa stamp if your current one has expired or will expire before you start. There's no portability provision like AC21 for H-1B holders, so plan for a four to six week transition window to accommodate the LCA certification and any consulate scheduling.
