Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship in Vice President
Position your Australian credentials for U.S. review
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 visa purposes, but your employer's attorney will need documentation. Prepare certified transcripts and a credential evaluation before negotiations start.
Target companies with existing E-3 filing history
VP-level roles often involve longer hiring cycles. Focus on employers who have sponsored E-3 visas before, their legal and HR teams already understand the LCA process and won't stall at the sponsorship conversation.
Clarify your specialty occupation function early
Not every VP title qualifies as a specialty occupation. If your role spans general management without a degree-specific function, the E-3 can be denied. Align your job description around a defined discipline before the LCA is drafted.
Negotiate LCA filing into your offer timeline
The DOL must certify your Labor Condition Application before you can attend your visa interview. Build at least two to three weeks into your start-date negotiation to allow for LCA processing without rushing the consulate appointment.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for complex VP offers
VP roles with equity, bonus structures, or multi-state responsibilities add complexity to the LCA prevailing wage calculation. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from offer to consulate appointment, so nothing stalls the filing.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent scrutiny at interview
Consular officers routinely probe VP-level applicants on ties to Australia and long-term intent. Bring documentation of Australian assets, family ties, or professional memberships to demonstrate you intend to return after each authorized stay.
E-3 Visa Vice President: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Vice President jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles that include E-3 visa sponsorship. You can filter Vice President positions by industry and sponsorship history, which removes the guesswork of cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with the E-3 process. Standard job boards don't surface sponsorship willingness at this level of specificity.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Vice President title automatically qualify for the E-3 specialty occupation requirement?
No. The E-3 specialty occupation test applies to the role's function, not its seniority. A VP of Engineering overseeing software architecture with a computer science degree will qualify. A VP of General Operations with broad, non-degree-specific duties may not. The job description filed with the DOL must establish a direct connection between the role and a specific academic discipline.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for a VP-level hire?
For Australian professionals, the E-3 is substantially more practical at the VP level. There's no annual cap and no lottery, so your employer can initiate the process at any point in the year. H-1B visa registrations are capped at 85,000 annually and decided by lottery, meaning a VP offer made in June could require a 12-month wait for the next registration period, or may not result in selection at all.
Can I change employers or get promoted while on an E-3 at VP level?
Yes to both, but each requires action before the change takes effect. A new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll need a new visa stamp if you travel internationally. A significant internal promotion that changes your job duties, title, or work location may also require an amended LCA, particularly if the new role shifts your specialty occupation function or the prevailing wage determination changes.
