Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Inventory Specialist
Frame your credentials around specialty occupation
The E-3 visa requires your role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a degree in supply chain, logistics, or operations management must be a genuine requirement. Rewrite your resume to show how your Australian bachelor's directly supports the role's analytical and systems responsibilities.
Target employers with DOL LCA filing history
Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify companies that have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for operations or supply chain roles. Prior LCA filings signal that an employer already understands the E-3 sponsorship process.
Clarify the LCA requirement early in negotiations
Many hiring managers assume E-3 sponsorship is as complex as H-1B visa. Correct that assumption before the offer stage: the employer only needs to file an LCA with DOL certifying prevailing wage compliance, with no lottery and no USCIS petition required for consular processing.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end preparation
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork. This covers DOL submission, DS-160 preparation, and consulate readiness so nothing delays your start date.
Prepare documentation linking your degree to the role
Consular officers assess whether your Australian qualification matches the specialty occupation definition. Bring your degree transcript, a role description specifying degree requirements, and any professional credentials in inventory management systems or supply chain software.
Address employer E-Verify obligations proactively
Some employers in logistics and warehousing are federal contractors required to use E-Verify for employment eligibility. Confirm your prospective employer's E-Verify status before signing an offer, as this affects your onboarding timeline after visa approval.
E-3 Visa Inventory Specialist: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Inventory Specialist jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. You can filter by job title and see which employers have E-3 filing history, so you're not cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with the visa. Generic job boards don't surface that sponsorship context, which wastes time at the offer stage.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Inventory Specialist role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the position is defined by the employer. If the job description requires a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or operations, it can qualify. Roles framed around physical counting or basic stock tracking, without a degree requirement, typically won't meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS and consular officers apply.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Inventory Specialist roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual numerical cap, so you can apply any time of year after securing a job offer. The H-1B requires entering a randomised lottery with roughly a 25% selection rate. For Inventory Specialist roles, the E-3 also requires no USCIS petition for consular processing, which simplifies the employer's obligations significantly.
Can I change Inventory Specialist employers while on an E-3?
Yes, but you can't transfer your existing E-3. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL, and you'll need to obtain a new E-3 visa stamp, which typically means returning to Australia or applying at a U.S. consulate abroad. You can begin working for the new employer once the LCA is certified and your new visa is issued.
