As part of a broader team, you collaborate with other technical program managers to ensure that work in your space aligns with work and plans of other teams across BDT and other organizations. You establish mechanisms for inspection and awareness of progress across cross cutting initiatives.
Data drives your “flywheel”. You analyze data to glean insights that drive experimentation. You leverage data such as service telemetry, user feedback, and industry trends to surface opportunities for improvement. You take what’s proven and partner with Amazon organizations to apply and scale it. You define, implement, and monitor metrics that track your progress.
You partner with Amazon’s business orgs to test hypotheses and deploy AI-based solutions to reduce friction and risk of errors in the ways that businesses use data.
You give feedback on narratives, contribute to strategy (e.g., OP1 planning), set goals, discuss weekly business metrics, and more.
You partner with Amazon’s PXT organization to evolve and optimize roles guidelines and org design best practices to align with the way businesses are evolving their practices around getting insights from their data.
You partner with engineering, human resources, legal, documentation, solution architecture, privacy, finance, and more to optimize usage of the Andes data lake for AI-based methodologies.
As an owner, you hold yourself and partners accountable for the highest quality user outcomes.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an IT Project Manager
Frame your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 visa purposes. Get a formal credential evaluation from a NACES-recognised service before applying so employers don't raise degree concerns during the offer stage.
Target companies with existing LCA filing history
Search DOL's OFLC disclosure database for employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for IT Project Manager or related titles. Prior LCA filings show the employer already understands the E-3 sponsorship process, which shortens your path from offer to visa.
Clarify PMP certification expectations early
Many U.S. IT Project Manager postings list PMP certification as required rather than preferred. Confirm whether your Australian certifications or equivalent experience satisfy this before the interview, since the E-3 petition must accurately reflect your qualifications as documented.
Use Migrate Mate to manage your LCA and filing
Once you have an offer, the employer must file a certified LCA with the DOL before your visa application can proceed. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so neither you nor your employer stalls at this stage.
Address E-3 renewal terms during offer negotiation
The E-3 grants two-year periods with unlimited renewals, but each renewal requires your employer to file a new LCA. Confirm your employer is willing to support renewals before signing, not after your first two-year period expires and continuity is at risk.
Prepare a project portfolio aligned to U.S. delivery methodologies
U.S. tech employers often screen IT Project Managers on Agile or Scrum experience specifically. Document your project outcomes in metrics U.S. interviewers recognise, such as budget managed, team size, and delivery timelines, to reinforce the specialty occupation case in your E-3 petition.
E-3 Visa IT Project Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find IT Project Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Search on Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by E-3 sponsorship availability so you're not wasting time on roles where the employer won't support the process. IT Project Manager positions at U.S. technology, consulting, and financial services firms are among the most consistently sponsored roles for Australian nationals on the E-3 visa.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an IT Project Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as information technology, computer science, or engineering. The job description must show that the degree is a minimum requirement, not just preferred. Generic project management roles that accept any bachelor's degree regardless of field can face scrutiny, so the employer's job posting language matters.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for IT Project Manager roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so you can apply at any time of year after receiving a job offer. H-1B requires entering an annual lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection rate, and if selected, employment can't start until October 1. For Australian IT Project Managers, the E-3 is the faster and more predictable path to starting work in the U.S.
Can I change employers or projects while on the E-3 as an IT Project Manager?
You can change employers, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA and you must obtain a new E-3 visa stamp before starting work with them if you're outside the U.S., or work with an attorney on a change of status if you're already inside. Changing projects within the same employer and same approved role generally does not require a new petition.
