Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Office Administrator
Match your degree to the role
Office Administrator positions only qualify as E-3 specialty occupations when the employer requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Make sure your Australian degree and the job description align before applying, or consular officers may deny the visa.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Search DOL's public disclosure data for employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for administrative roles. Companies with prior LCA history already understand the process, which shortens your sponsorship conversation.
Get your credential equivalency documented early
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees, but your employer's attorney may request a credential evaluation. Have an official transcript and degree certificate ready before the offer stage.
Ask about the LCA during salary negotiations
The LCA locks in a prevailing wage that the employer must meet or exceed throughout your employment. Confirm the DOL wage level before you accept an offer so your agreed salary stays compliant if the LCA is certified at a higher rate.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the paperwork
Once you have a signed offer letter, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end, from DOL certification through consulate preparation. This avoids the filing errors that cause delays for first-time applicants.
Prepare for specialty occupation scrutiny at the consulate
Consular officers sometimes question whether Office Administrator roles genuinely require a degree. Bring the original job offer letter, your degree certificate, and evidence that the employer's position description specifies a bachelor's degree as a minimum requirement.

Find Office Administrator JobsOffice Administrator E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Office Administrator jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles that include E-3 visa sponsorship. You can filter by job title, industry, and location to find Office Administrator positions where employers are open to sponsoring the E-3, without sifting through listings that assume H-1B or no sponsorship at all.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Office Administrator role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is written. The E-3 requires the position to normally require a bachelor's degree in a specific field. An Office Administrator role that specifies a degree in business administration or management qualifies. A role where any degree or no degree is acceptable generally won't pass USCIS or consular scrutiny as a specialty occupation.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Office Administrator roles?
The E-3 is only available to Australian citizens, but it has two significant advantages over the H-1B for this role: no lottery and no annual cap. H-1B applicants must win a random selection before any petition is filed, and Office Administrator roles face extra scrutiny under H-1B specialty occupation standards. With the E-3, a qualified Australian with a valid offer can apply directly at a U.S. consulate in Australia.
Can I change employers while working on an E-3 as an Office Administrator?
Yes, but the process restarts with the new employer. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need to apply for a new E-3 visa, either at a U.S. consulate or by filing a change of status with USCIS if you're already in the U.S. You can't transfer an E-3 the way some other visa categories allow portability.
