-
NGO Communications Support: Provide communications support for NGO engagement and partnerships, including developing messaging, coordinating stakeholder alignment, and supporting external-facing materials.
-
Stakeholder Alignment: Set priorities and milestones with stakeholders, act as communications partner. Accelerate progress by driving timely decisions and clearing blockers.
-
Process Improvement: Identify and optimize program workflows and team processes; recommend cross-team process improvements to drive better outputs.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship in Public Relations
Frame your portfolio for U.S. specialty occupation standards
PR roles must meet the DOL's specialty occupation definition, meaning a specific degree is genuinely required for the position. Reframe your portfolio to show strategic communications work that demonstrably required your degree, not just executional tasks any hire could perform.
Target agencies with established international hiring pipelines
U.S. PR agencies that regularly work with global brands are far more familiar with E-3 visa sponsorship than pure domestic boutiques. Prioritize agencies with offices in Sydney or Melbourne, as their HR teams have typically processed E-3 paperwork before.
Clarify the LCA requirement before accepting an offer
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your visa application can proceed. Confirm this step explicitly during offer negotiations so neither party is surprised by the two-to-five business day DOL processing window.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage LCA and consulate prep
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles your LCA submission, visa paperwork, and consulate appointment preparation end-to-end, reducing the back-and-forth that typically delays PR hires starting their roles on time.
Prepare credential documentation before your job search starts
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees for E-3 purposes, but you should have your academic transcripts and, if needed, a credential evaluation ready before interviews so you can address questions immediately.
Address dual-intent limitations with your hiring manager early
The E-3 is a nonimmigrant visa with stricter nonimmigrant intent requirements than H-1B visa. If your hiring manager asks whether you plan to pursue a green card, explain the E-3's structure honestly and focus the conversation on your immediate commitment to the role.
E-3 Visa Public Relations: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Public Relations jobs in the U.S. that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, filtering U.S. Public Relations roles by employers with active E-3 and H-1B sponsorship history. Most PR job boards don't surface sponsorship data at all, so you'd otherwise spend hours researching each employer individually before knowing whether sponsorship is even on the table.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Public Relations role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a closely related field. Roles focused on strategy, media relations, or corporate communications typically qualify. Roles that could be filled by candidates from any degree background, or where the degree is listed as preferred rather than required, are more likely to face scrutiny during the LCA filing process.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Australian PR professionals?
The E-3 is significantly more predictable for Australians. There's no annual lottery, no cap to exhaust, and you can apply directly at a U.S. consulate in Australia without waiting for USCIS approval. The H-1B requires winning a random lottery with a roughly 25 to 30 percent selection rate. For PR roles, which qualify under both visa types, the E-3 is the faster and more reliable path.
Can I switch PR employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but you can't simply transfer your existing E-3 to a new employer. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need to either apply for a new E-3 stamp at a U.S. consulate or file a change of status with USCIS if you're already in the U.S. Plan for a gap between your last day and your new start date that accounts for this process.
