Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Oncology Account Manager
Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Your Australian degree must map to the specific field of the role, not just any bachelor's degree. A life sciences, pharmacy, or health sciences background strengthens the specialty occupation case that your employer files with DOL.
Target pharmaceutical companies with active LCA histories
Search the DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway for certified LCAs in pharmaceutical sales and oncology. Employers who have filed before understand the E-3 visa process and won't require internal legal approval cycles before extending an offer.
Clarify territory coverage before signing your offer letter
Oncology Account Managers often cover multi-state territories, but your E-3 is tied to your primary worksite location for LCA purposes. Confirm with your employer which state your role is based in before the LCA is filed with DOL.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for LCA and consulate prep
Once you have a job offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from LCA certification through consulate appointment preparation, so you and your employer aren't navigating USCIS paperwork requirements independently.
Address nonimmigrant intent proactively at your consulate interview
Consular officers assess whether you intend to return to Australia. Bring documentation of ties such as property, family, or superannuation contributions. Oncology roles attract scrutiny because biotech and pharma employers often sponsor permanent residency later.
Ask employers about E-Verify enrollment before your start date
Your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify or able to complete I-9 verification for you to begin work. Some smaller biotech or regional pharma companies aren't yet enrolled, which delays your start date if not resolved before your visa is approved.
E-3 Visa Oncology Account Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Oncology Account Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. You can filter by job title and industry to find oncology and pharmaceutical sales positions where employers are already familiar with the E-3 process, cutting out the back-and-forth of educating recruiters about the visa.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Oncology Account Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, in most cases. The role must require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field, typically life sciences, pharmacy, biochemistry, or a health-related discipline. Roles listed as requiring any degree or no stated degree requirement are harder to qualify. The job description your employer uses in the LCA needs to reflect that specialized knowledge is genuinely required.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Oncology Account Manager roles?
The E-3 has a significant practical advantage: there's no lottery and no cap backlog, so you can start when you and your employer are ready. The H-1B visa requires entering a random selection process each April with only a roughly one-in-four chance of selection. For Australian nationals in oncology sales, the E-3 is a direct path the H-1B simply can't match for reliability.
Can I switch employers while on an E-3 in an oncology sales role?
Yes, but you need a new LCA certified by DOL and a new visa stamp before starting with the new employer, unless you're already inside the U.S. and your new employer files before your current status expires. Multi-state territory changes also require an amended LCA if your primary worksite location changes, so confirm the process with your new employer before your last day with the previous one.
