Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Operations Project Manager
Frame your credentials for U.S. specialty occupation
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees for E-3 purposes. Get a credential evaluation letter confirming your degree maps to a U.S. bachelor's in business, engineering, or project management before your first interview.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications for operations or project management roles. Prior LCA filings signal an employer already understands the E-3 process and won't treat sponsorship as a deal-breaker.
Clarify the E-3 advantage early in negotiations
Many U.S. hiring managers assume Australian candidates require H-1B sponsorship and a lottery slot. Correct this assumption before offer stage: the E-3 has no lottery, no annual cap, and your employer can have you working within weeks of a consulate appointment.
Confirm your role meets specialty occupation standards
The DOL requires your Operations Project Manager position to normally require a bachelor's degree in a specific field. If the job posting says 'degree preferred' rather than 'required,' ask HR to confirm the internal job description uses degree-required language before your LCA is filed.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the LCA and paperwork
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the LCA submission to DOL, prepares your visa application documents, and guides you through your consulate appointment, so neither you nor your employer needs prior E-3 experience.
Plan your consulate appointment around project timelines
Sydney and Melbourne consulate wait times fluctuate and can affect your start date. Secure your appointment as soon as your employer's LCA is DOL-certified, so you can give your new team a realistic onboarding date and avoid project handover delays.

Find Operations Project Manager JobsOperations Project Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Operations Project Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles that include E-3 sponsorship. Because many employers don't advertise E-3 support explicitly, filtering by companies with a demonstrated history of E-3 or LCA filings in operations and project management functions is the most reliable way to find genuine opportunities.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Operations Project Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as business administration, industrial engineering, or supply chain management. The key test is that the degree must be a standard entry requirement for the role, not merely preferred. A generic management role where any degree is accepted may not qualify, so the job description wording matters.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Operations Project Manager roles?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and has no lottery, no annual cap, and no employer-specific petition fee to USCIS. The H-1B requires entering a lottery with roughly a 25% selection rate and waiting up to a year for authorization. For Operations Project Managers with Australian citizenship, the E-3 is a direct path that most employers find far simpler to process.
Can I change employers or projects while on an E-3 visa?
You can change employers on an E-3, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp, which typically requires a consulate appointment in Australia. You can begin working for the new employer as soon as the LCA is certified and your new visa is issued. There is no grace period for working without authorization between roles.
