E-3 Visa Program Supervisor Jobs
Program Supervisor roles qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social work, public administration, or education. The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, making sponsorship more predictable than H-1B visa for Australian professionals pursuing supervisory roles in U.S. nonprofits, government contractors, and healthcare organizations.

Translate your Australian qualifications precisely
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 visa specialty occupation purposes. Get a credential evaluation from a NACES-member evaluator before applying so employers can confirm degree equivalency without delays.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for employers who have filed LCAs for Program Supervisor or similar supervisory roles. Prior LCA filings signal that HR and legal teams already understand the E-3 process and won't treat sponsorship as an obstacle.
Use Migrate Mate to find E-3 sponsorship roles
Migrate Mate filters Program Supervisor jobs by E-3 visa sponsorship eligibility, so you're not cold-applying to employers who have never sponsored an Australian professional. Use Migrate Mate's search to surface roles where sponsorship is already part of the hiring pipeline.
Clarify the specialty occupation requirement early
Not every Program Supervisor role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Confirm with your prospective employer that the job description specifies a degree requirement in a particular field, not just 'a degree preferred,' before the LCA is filed with DOL.
Request that employers file the LCA before your start date
The LCA must be certified by the DOL before you can apply for your E-3 visa at a U.S. consulate. Build at least two to three weeks of LCA processing time into your expected start date so the offer timeline stays realistic for both sides.
Handle your full filing through a dedicated service
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage LCA submission, DS-160 preparation, and consulate appointment coordination. This keeps the process moving without requiring your employer to engage a full immigration law firm.
E-3 Visa Program Supervisor: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Program Supervisor jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for E-3 visa sponsorship roles in the U.S. Rather than filtering through general job boards, Migrate Mate surfaces Program Supervisor positions where employers are already open to E-3 sponsorship, which saves time and avoids applications to employers unfamiliar with the visa.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Program Supervisor role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3 visa?
It depends on how the role is written. A Program Supervisor position qualifies as a specialty occupation when the employer requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field, such as social work, public administration, education, or a related discipline. Roles where any degree is acceptable, regardless of field, are harder to defend as specialty occupations. The job description wording matters significantly when the DOL reviews the LCA.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Program Supervisor roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no numerical cap, so an Australian professional with a qualifying offer can apply year-round without waiting for a random selection result. H-1B registrations are capped at 85,000 per fiscal year and subject to a lottery, meaning a qualified candidate can be shut out entirely. For Program Supervisor roles, the E-3 is a significantly more direct path for Australian citizens.
Can I transfer my E-3 visa to a new Program Supervisor employer if I change jobs?
Yes, but the process restarts with the new employer. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and receive certification before you can work for them under E-3 status. If you're changing employers while already in the U.S., you can begin working once the new LCA is certified and an updated visa stamp is obtained, or in some cases through a change of status filing with USCIS.
