Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Quality Program Manager
Translate your credentials for U.S. employers
Australian engineering or business degrees are accepted for E-3 visa specialty occupation purposes, but your transcript may need a credential evaluation. Request a course-by-course evaluation from a NACES-recognized agency before interviews begin so employers aren't waiting on paperwork.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway to confirm a company has filed Labor Condition Applications for quality or program management roles. Prior LCA activity signals the employer already understands the E-3 process and won't need educating on their obligations.
Find E-3 sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to identify employers already set up to sponsor Australian workers in quality program management roles and to manage the full process from LCA through your consulate appointment.
Get the job title right on your LCA
Quality program management spans multiple DOL Standard Occupational Classification codes. The title on your LCA must match the role's actual duties. Work with your employer to confirm the correct SOC code before the DOL filing, since a mismatch can trigger a deficiency notice.
Prepare for specialty occupation questions at interview
Consular officers occasionally question whether quality or program management roles meet the specialty occupation standard. Bring documentation showing your degree is a normal entry requirement for the specific position, not just a general preference the employer listed.
Negotiate E-3 filing costs into your offer
E-3 visa costs are primarily employer-side obligations under USCIS rules. Raise filing fees during offer negotiation rather than after signing, since asking for reimbursement post-acceptance is harder and some employers mistakenly assume you'll self-fund.
E-3 Visa Quality Program Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Quality Program Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for E-3 visa sponsorship roles in the U.S. Filter by job title and visa type to see Quality Program Manager positions at employers already set up to file the Labor Condition Application and support the E-3 process from offer through your consulate appointment.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Quality Program Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position normally requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as engineering, quality management, or business. Roles where any general degree suffices can face scrutiny. The stronger your job description ties specific technical duties to a particular field of study, the cleaner the specialty occupation argument.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Quality Program Manager roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery, so there's no random selection risk that ends your U.S. job opportunity before it starts. Processing happens at the Australian consulate and typically resolves within weeks, while H-1B petitions can take months. The E-3 is also renewable in two-year increments without a cap, making it more predictable for long-term roles.
Can I switch employers or get promoted while on the E-3?
Changing employers requires a new LCA filed by the incoming employer and a new E-3 visa stamp obtained at a consulate before you start. A promotion to a materially different role or title at your current employer may also require an amended LCA. Plan any transitions carefully to avoid gaps in authorized employment status.
