Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Operations Supervisor
Frame your degree for specialty occupation
Operations Supervisor roles get denied when applicants list a generic management degree without connecting it to the specific duties. Map your coursework in supply chain, industrial engineering, or logistics directly to the job description before applying.
Target companies with existing LCA filings
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for employers who have filed LCAs for operations roles. These employers already understand the E-3 process and won't treat your sponsorship request as an unfamiliar burden.
Clarify the LCA requirement early in negotiations
Employers often confuse the LCA with the full I-129 petition, assuming the process takes months. The DOL certifies LCAs within seven business days, so address this in your offer conversation before it becomes a reason to stall.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end preparation
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork. This keeps the employer's administrative burden minimal, which matters when a hiring manager hasn't sponsored a visa before.
Prepare a role-specific specialty occupation letter
Consular officers assess whether your Operations Supervisor role genuinely requires a degree, not just prefers one. Have your employer document that the position involves analytical decision-making, process engineering, or systems oversight that a degree-level qualification is essential to perform.
Check your employer's E-Verify enrollment before accepting
E-3 visa holders must work for an employer that completes the I-9 verification process. Confirm your employer is enrolled in E-Verify before your consulate appointment, since discrepancies between your visa and employment authorization records can create complications at entry.

Find Operations Supervisor JobsOperations Supervisor E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Operations Supervisor jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. Filter by job title and E-3 sponsorship to surface Operations Supervisor roles at employers who have already demonstrated willingness to sponsor Australian nationals. This saves you from applying to roles where the hiring team has no familiarity with the E-3 process and will likely decline once visa requirements come up.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Operations Supervisor role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is defined. The E-3 requires the position to normally require a bachelor's degree in a specific field. An Operations Supervisor role focused on process improvement, supply chain analysis, or systems management can qualify. A generalist supervisory role where any degree or no degree is acceptable typically won't. The job description and internal documentation your employer provides at the consulate are what determine this.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Operations Supervisor roles?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and has no lottery, no annual cap, and no waitlist. H-1B registration is a lottery with a roughly one-in-four selection rate, meaning qualified candidates are turned away at random. For an Operations Supervisor role, if you're Australian, the E-3 is the more reliable path by a significant margin. Renewals are indefinite as long as you maintain qualifying employment.
Can I switch Operations Supervisor employers while on an E-3?
Yes, but you need a new LCA certified by the DOL and a new visa stamp if you've traveled internationally. If you're changing employers while remaining in the U.S., you can start working for the new employer once the new LCA is certified and your application is filed, without waiting for a new visa stamp. Plan for at least two to three weeks for the LCA certification before your start date.
