Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Outreach Specialist
Frame your degree for specialty occupation
Outreach roles can be rejected as too generalist. Get a credential evaluation confirming your Australian bachelor's aligns with the specific communications or PR field the role requires, not just any bachelor's degree.
Target employers with existing LCA filings
Search DOL's public LCA disclosure data for companies that have filed for communications or public affairs roles. Employers who've done it before move faster and already understand the E-3 process.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the LCA
The LCA must be DOL-certified before your consulate appointment. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so the process doesn't stall after your employer says yes.
Prepare a one-page sponsorship brief for HR
Nonprofit and government-adjacent outreach employers often have no in-house immigration experience. A brief explaining the E-3 timeline, employer obligations, and absence of a lottery removes the most common objections before they arise.
Book your consulate appointment immediately after LCA certification
Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth appointment slots fill quickly. Schedule your interview the same day your LCA is certified, waiting even a week can push your start date out by a month or more.

Find Outreach Specialist JobsOutreach Specialist E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Outreach Specialist jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It filters roles by E-3 sponsorship eligibility so you're only seeing positions where Australian nationals can apply without a lottery. Searching general job boards returns results that mix in H-1B-only roles, making it hard to tell which employers will actually sponsor an E-3.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Outreach Specialist role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is defined. Outreach Specialist positions that require a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, public health, or a directly related field generally qualify. Roles where the employer lists a degree as preferred rather than required are a problem, USCIS assesses specialty occupation based on the actual job requirements, not the title.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Outreach Specialist roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so you can apply year-round as soon as you have a job offer. The H-1B requires entering a lottery in March for an October start, with roughly a one-in-four selection rate. For Outreach Specialist roles, the E-3 is a far more predictable path if you hold Australian citizenship.
What documents does my employer need to provide for E-3 sponsorship?
Your employer files the LCA with DOL, which certifies the role meets prevailing wage requirements. They also provide a signed offer letter describing the position, required qualifications, and employment terms. You bring both documents to your consulate interview along with your DS-160, passport, and credential evaluation if your degree is from an Australian institution.
