E-3 Visa Real Estate Appraiser Jobs
Real Estate Appraiser roles qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, or a related field. Australian appraisers bring internationally recognized valuation credentials, and the E-3's no-lottery structure means you can move from job offer to U.S. consulate appointment without waiting on annual caps.

Verify your credentials translate correctly
Australian Certified Practising Valuers hold qualifications that U.S. employers may not immediately recognize. Request a formal credential evaluation and map your Valuer General experience to U.S. appraisal licensing tiers before submitting applications.
Target firms with active LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify appraisal firms and commercial real estate groups that have filed Labor Condition Applications before. Prior LCA activity signals an employer already understands the E-3 visa sponsorship process.
Find E-3 sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to search Real Estate Appraiser roles filtered by E-3 visa sponsorship. The platform surfaces employers actively hiring Australians, saving you the manual work of filtering out firms unfamiliar with the visa.
Address state licensing requirements early in negotiations
U.S. appraisers must hold state-issued licenses, and requirements vary by state. Clarify with your prospective employer which license tier the role requires and whether they'll support the application timeline alongside your E-3 filing.
Get your job offer letter to match the LCA wage level
The DOL requires your offered wage to meet the prevailing wage for the appraisal role in that metropolitan area. Before signing, confirm the offer letter salary meets or exceeds the Level I or II wage the LCA will certify.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the full process
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA submission, DS-160, and consulate preparation. Appraisal roles involve nuanced specialty occupation documentation that benefits from end-to-end expert management.
E-3 Visa Real Estate Appraiser: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Real Estate Appraiser jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search Real Estate Appraiser roles filtered by E-3 visa sponsorship. Many appraisal firms are open to sponsoring Australian candidates but don't advertise it prominently. Targeting employers with prior LCA filing history through Migrate Mate significantly narrows the field to those already familiar with the E-3 process.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Real Estate Appraiser role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as real estate, finance, economics, or business. Roles requiring only an appraisal license without a degree requirement can be harder to qualify. Your employer will need to document the degree requirement in the Labor Condition Application and supporting evidence for the consulate.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Real Estate Appraiser roles?
The E-3 is substantially more practical for Australian appraisers. There's no annual lottery, no cap to worry about, and the process runs from LCA filing to consulate appointment in weeks rather than months. The H-1B lottery accepts registrations once a year and selection is not guaranteed, meaning a qualified appraiser with a firm offer can wait over a year. The E-3 has a 10,500-visa annual allocation that has never been exhausted.
Do I need a U.S. appraisal license before applying for E-3 sponsored roles?
You don't need a U.S. license before receiving a job offer, but you'll need one to legally sign appraisal reports once you start work. Most sponsoring employers will factor state licensing timelines into your onboarding plan. Clarify during the offer negotiation whether the employer will support licensing fees and exam preparation alongside the E-3 filing.
