As part of a broader team, you collaborate with other technical program managers to ensure that work in your space aligns with work and plans of other teams across BDT and other organizations. You establish mechanisms for inspection and awareness of progress across cross cutting initiatives.
Data drives your “flywheel”. You analyze data to glean insights that drive experimentation. You leverage data such as service telemetry, user feedback, and industry trends to surface opportunities for improvement. You take what’s proven and partner with Amazon organizations to apply and scale it. You define, implement, and monitor metrics that track your progress.
You partner with Amazon’s business orgs to test hypotheses and deploy AI-based solutions to reduce friction and risk of errors in the ways that businesses use data.
You give feedback on narratives, contribute to strategy (e.g., OP1 planning), set goals, discuss weekly business metrics, and more.
You partner with Amazon’s PXT organization to evolve and optimize roles guidelines and org design best practices to align with the way businesses are evolving their practices around getting insights from their data.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Sales Engineering Manager
Align your credentials to the LCA job category
DOL's Labor Condition Application requires your role to match a specific occupational classification. Sales Engineering Manager positions typically file under SOC 41-3999 or 11-2022. Confirm your offer letter's job duties map to one of these codes before your employer submits.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for companies that have previously certified LCAs for sales engineering or technical sales manager roles. Employers who've done it before move faster and make fewer errors on your paperwork.
Frame your Australian enterprise sales experience precisely
U.S. hiring managers sometimes undervalue experience with ANZ or APAC enterprise accounts. Translate your deal sizes, customer tiers, and technical stack into U.S. market equivalents on your resume to clear the specialty occupation threshold with the consular officer.
Clarify the prevailing wage tier before accepting an offer
Your offer must meet DOL's prevailing wage for your SOC code and work location. Sales Engineering Manager wages vary significantly by metro. Confirm the wage level with your employer before signing, since a below-threshold offer triggers LCA rejection.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to streamline your post-offer process
Once you have an offer, the LCA certification and DS-160 preparation move quickly. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so you can schedule your consulate appointment without delays or missing required attestations.
Prepare for specialty occupation questions at the consulate
Consular officers sometimes probe whether a Sales Engineering Manager role truly requires a bachelor's degree. Bring your job offer letter, a degree certificate, and a brief written explanation of how your engineering background directly shapes your sales methodology and client technical assessments.
E-3 Visa Sales Engineering Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Sales Engineering Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It filters jobs by E-3 sponsorship history so you're not wasting applications on employers who've never filed an LCA. Sales Engineering Manager roles appear across enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, and industrial technology sectors, and Migrate Mate surfaces the ones where Australian candidates have a clear path to sponsorship.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does the E-3 visa give Sales Engineering Managers an advantage over H-1B applicants?
Yes, in a meaningful way. The H-1B visa has an 85,000-slot annual cap and requires a lottery, so your employer's sponsorship offer could be wasted if you're not selected. The E-3 has a 10,500-slot annual allocation that has never been exhausted, meaning you can file at any time of year, your employer gets certainty, and you can start without waiting for an October fiscal year start date.
Does my Australian bachelor's degree satisfy the E-3 specialty occupation requirement for this role?
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees for E-3 purposes, but the degree field must align with the Sales Engineering Manager position. A degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a technical discipline directly supports the specialty occupation argument. A general commerce degree may require additional documentation showing technical course content or relevant work experience.
Can I switch employers or get promoted while on an E-3 as a Sales Engineering Manager?
Changing employers requires your new employer to file a fresh LCA and obtain a new E-3 visa stamp, typically requiring a consulate visit. An internal promotion that changes your job title or substantially alters your duties also triggers a new LCA. You can continue working for your existing employer while the new filing is in process, but you cannot start with a new employer until the new visa is approved.
