Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Senior Delivery Manager
Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
Your Australian bachelor's degree must map to the specific field your Senior Delivery Manager role requires. A three-year Australian degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree, but document the field alignment clearly before any employer files your LCA.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify companies that have previously certified LCAs for delivery or program management roles. Employers already familiar with LCA requirements move faster and make fewer procedural errors during your sponsorship process.
Raise E-3 sponsorship early in recruiter conversations
Don't wait until an offer to disclose your visa situation. Tell recruiters upfront that you hold Australian citizenship and that E-3 visa sponsorship requires only an LCA certification and consular appointment, with no lottery and no cap risk. This removes the H-1B visa uncertainty that makes many employers hesitate.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from LCA submission through consulate preparation. This is especially useful for Senior Delivery Manager roles where the specialty occupation justification requires careful documentation of degree-to-role alignment.
Verify your employer's E-Verify enrollment before accepting an offer
E-Verify enrollment isn't required for all E-3 employers, but confirming it early tells you how familiar your employer is with federal employment verification. Employers already enrolled tend to have HR processes in place that make the E-3 onboarding smoother and faster.
Prepare a role justification memo before your consulate appointment
Consular officers can ask how your degree qualifies you specifically for a Senior Delivery Manager position. Prepare a one-page summary connecting your academic background to the role's responsibilities, referencing your employer's LCA job description to show the specialty occupation basis is consistent throughout your application.
E-3 Visa Senior Delivery Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Senior Delivery Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for E-3 visa sponsorship roles in the U.S. You can filter by job title and see which employers have a history of sponsoring E-3 or H-1B visas, so you're not spending time on companies that won't engage with the sponsorship process.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Senior Delivery Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3 purposes?
Yes, Senior Delivery Manager positions generally qualify because they require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as project management, computer science, business administration, or engineering. The key is that your employer's job description must specify a degree requirement in a relevant discipline, not just list a degree as preferred. If the posting says 'preferred' rather than 'required,' that can create problems at the LCA or consulate stage.
How does the E-3 visa compare to H-1B for Senior Delivery Manager roles?
The E-3 is significantly more practical for Australians in delivery management. There's no lottery, no annual cap, and your employer can file an LCA and move to a consulate appointment without waiting for a selection result. H-1B requires entering a lottery in March for an October start, which often means a six-month delay and no guarantee of selection. For a Senior Delivery Manager offer in hand, the E-3 is almost always the faster and lower-risk path.
Can I change employers or move to a new delivery role while on an E-3?
Yes, but you need to restart the process with each new employer. Your E-3 is tied to a specific employer and LCA, so when you change companies, your new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp or a change of status if you're already in the U.S. There's no portability rule equivalent to H-1B's AC21 provision, so time your transitions carefully to avoid gaps in authorized employment.
