Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Social Media Coordinator
Align your degree to the role description
E-3 specialty occupation requires a direct link between your degree field and the job. A communications or digital marketing degree supports a Social Media Coordinator petition far more cleanly than a general business degree, so frame your credentials accordingly before applying.
Target employers with existing LCA filing history
Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify companies that have filed LCAs for communications or marketing roles. These employers already understand the E-3 process, which shortens the sponsorship conversation significantly.
Prepare a portfolio showing platform-specific results
U.S. hiring managers for social media roles expect measurable outcomes tied to specific platforms. Quantify engagement growth, audience reach, and campaign performance by channel so your portfolio makes the specialty occupation case visually before the LCA is ever discussed.
Address sponsorship directly in your cover letter
Many U.S. employers assume E-3 works like H-1B and avoid the topic. Clarify upfront that E-3 has no lottery, no annual cap, and requires no employer PERM labor market test, so the hiring team understands the actual commitment before your first interview.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the paperwork
Once you have an offer, the LCA and DS-160 filings have specific sequencing requirements. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from offer to consulate appointment so you don't lose your start date to a filing error.
Find Social Media Coordinator roles using Migrate Mate
Searching for E-3-ready employers in a niche like social media is easier when the platform filters for visa sponsorship by role type. Migrate Mate surfaces Social Media Coordinator positions where employers have indicated E-3 sponsorship willingness, cutting out the cold-outreach guesswork.

Find Social Media Coordinator JobsSocial Media Coordinator E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Social Media Coordinator jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Social Media Coordinator roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. Because many employers don't advertise visa support explicitly, filtering by role type and sponsorship history helps you focus on realistic opportunities rather than spending time on companies that won't engage.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Social Media Coordinator role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3?
It can, but the job description has to be written carefully. The role must require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as communications, marketing, or digital media. A posting that says 'degree preferred' rather than 'degree required' can undermine the specialty occupation argument, so review the offer letter language before the LCA is filed.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Social Media Coordinator roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so Australian nationals can apply any time of year without competing for a limited pool of slots. H-1B selection is random and capped at 85,000 per fiscal year. For a Social Media Coordinator, E-3 is the more reliable path because approval doesn't depend on a lottery draw that could reset your timeline by a full year.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as a Social Media Coordinator?
Yes, but you need a new LCA and a new E-3 visa stamp tied to the new employer before you can start working for them. There's no portability provision like the one that exists for H-1B holders under AC21. If you're considering a job change, start the new filing process before your current role ends to avoid a gap in authorized status.
