Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship in Solutions Lead
Frame your credentials for specialty occupation
Your Australian bachelor's degree must align directly with the Solutions Lead function, whether that's information systems, engineering, or business. A three-year degree is generally accepted as equivalent, but document the field match explicitly before applications reach the LCA stage.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Solutions Lead roles exist across consulting firms, SaaS companies, and managed service providers. Focus on employers who have filed LCAs for similar titles previously, since they already understand the DOL certification process and won't treat your E-3 visa as an unknown administrative burden.
Clarify the role title before the offer letter
Job postings often use titles like Presales Lead or Implementation Lead for what is functionally a Solutions Lead role. The title on your LCA must match your actual duties, so confirm with the hiring team that the offer letter and DOL filing will use a consistent, specialty-occupation-supporting title.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the LCA
The LCA must be certified by DOL before your visa interview, and employer delays here are common. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage the LCA, DS-160, and consulate preparation so the process doesn't stall after you've accepted an offer.
Understand the 10-day grace period after your start date
Your E-3 is tied to your employer's LCA wage and worksite. If your role shifts to a new client site or your compensation structure changes, your employer may need to file an amended LCA. Confirm with your hiring manager that any post-hire changes go through USCIS or DOL review before they take effect.
Ask about multi-state or remote work LCA coverage
Solutions Lead roles frequently involve travel to client sites across multiple states. A single-worksite LCA won't cover extended work at client locations in other states. Ask your employer whether they'll file a blanket LCA or short-term assignment notices with DOL to keep your status compliant.
E-3 Visa Solutions Lead: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Solutions Lead jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. Rather than filtering through general job boards and guessing at employer willingness, Migrate Mate surfaces Solutions Lead openings where sponsorship is already part of the hiring context, saving you the back-and-forth of educating recruiters about the E-3.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Solutions Lead role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as information systems, engineering, business, or computer science. The DOL's LCA certification and the consular officer's review both assess whether the specific role demands that level of theoretical and practical knowledge. Generic management titles without a defined degree requirement can create complications, so the job description needs to reflect the technical or professional complexity of the work.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Solutions Lead roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no cap that runs out, which means your employer can file at any point in the year and expect a predictable outcome. H-1B visa sponsorship for the same Solutions Lead role enters a random lottery with roughly one-in-five selection odds for most registrants. For Australian nationals, the E-3 is almost always the faster and more reliable path to starting work in the U.S.
Can I change employers or clients while on an E-3 as a Solutions Lead?
You can change employers, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll need a new visa endorsement before you can begin work. There's no portability provision like the one that exists for some H-1B holders under AC21. If you're in a consulting or managed services model where you're technically employed by one company but placed with multiple clients, each new long-term client engagement may also require an LCA amendment if the worksite or wage conditions change.
