Job Title: Insurance Management - Telematics Solutions Lead
Duration: 6+ months
Location: Torrance, CA
Duties and Responsibilities:
This role will be assigned to support client’s telematics systems implementation the following key responsibilities:
- Responsible for defining Business processes in alignment with business model
- Responsible for defining functional and non-functional requirements for applications and systems to support defined business processes in collaboration with business operations lead, analytics lead, business partners
- Actively support system development architecture, design, build, testing and implementation
- Responsible for the execution of testing activities
- Assist in day-to-day activities of development
- Act as the liaison between application support and operations team and external partners
Requirements
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 8+ years applicable experience
- 3+ years applicable experience in Telemetry and real time data analytics
- 5+ years applicable experience in Data warehouse and big data systems
- 3+ years applicable experience in Web/Mobile applications delivery
- Experience in project management. PMP certification is a plus
- Prior Experience in Telematics and Usage base Insurance model is a plus
- Successfully completed studies within computer science, business informatics, mathematics, physics or comparable degree. Master’s degree is a plus
Specialized Skills / knowledge:
- Ability to define business processes and drive business requirements elicitation process
- Knowledge of Big data and data warehouse architecture, design and implementation
- Experience in telemetry data processing, data analytics and Big data platforms such as Netezza, Cloudera and BigInsights
- Experience in SOA design and build
- Prior experience using cloud managed service providers is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Excellent communication skills
