Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Field Service Manager
Align your credentials to specialty occupation requirements
The E-3 requires your Field Service Manager role to qualify as a specialty occupation. Document how your Australian engineering or technical degree directly maps to the supervisory and diagnostic responsibilities in the job description, not just the title.
Target employers with active field service operations
Focus on industrial equipment manufacturers, utilities, and defense contractors with distributed U.S. field teams. These employers already budget for international technical hires and understand the LCA filing process the E-3 requires before your visa application.
Raise E-3 sponsorship before the offer stage
Bring up the E-3 during the final interview round, not after a verbal offer. Explaining that no lottery is involved and that DOL Labor Condition Application certification typically takes seven business days reduces employer hesitation significantly.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the LCA and paperwork
Once you have a signed offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This is where many Field Service Manager applicants stall without expert support, especially coordinating the consulate appointment timeline.
Verify your Australian degree meets U.S. equivalency standards
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 purposes, but your employer's HR team or the consular officer may request a credential evaluation. Get a NACES-affiliated assessment prepared before your interview.
Negotiate who covers LCA and visa filing costs
DOL regulations prohibit employers from passing the LCA cost to you, but consular fees are typically your responsibility. Clarify this split in writing during offer negotiation so there are no surprises after your start date is locked in.

Find Field Service Manager JobsField Service Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Field Service Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Search Migrate Mate to find Field Service Manager roles filtered specifically for E-3 visa sponsorship. Most general job boards don't distinguish between visa types, so you waste time on roles where the employer won't file an LCA. Migrate Mate surfaces employers already open to Australian professionals on the E-3.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Field Service Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is structured. Field Service Manager positions that require a bachelor's degree in engineering, electronics, or a related technical field typically qualify. Roles framed around general supervision without a specific degree requirement may not. The job description needs to reflect specialized technical knowledge, not just management experience.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Field Service Manager roles?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and has no annual cap or lottery, so you can apply any time of year once you have a job offer. The H-1B is subject to an annual lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection rate. For Australians, the E-3 is a direct path that doesn't depend on luck.
Can I switch Field Service Manager employers on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but you need to restart the process with the new employer. Your E-3 is tied to a specific employer and LCA, so your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new visa stamp if yours is expiring. There's no portability provision like the H-1B's AC21 rule.
