Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Sourcing Specialist
Frame your degree for specialty occupation
E-3 eligibility depends on your role qualifying as a specialty occupation. A sourcing or procurement degree supports this directly, but a broader business degree works too if your job duties require that specific theoretical knowledge.
Target employers with active procurement teams
Focus on mid-to-large manufacturers, retailers, and tech companies with dedicated supply chain functions. These employers file LCAs regularly and understand E-3 sponsorship, reducing the education burden on you during negotiations.
Raise E-3 sponsorship before the offer stage
Sourcing roles often move fast from interview to offer. Bring up your visa status once you're into final-round conversations, not after an offer lands. Employers can't always pause a hire while they research the E-3 process from scratch.
Verify your employer files LCAs with DOL
The employer must certify your prevailing wage through a DOL Labor Condition Application before you can apply. Confirm their HR team has done this before or is willing to. DOL's FLAG portal shows historical LCA filings by employer name.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the paperwork
Sourcing roles attract fast-moving offers. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so you're not scrambling once an offer is confirmed. The service covers the full process from DOL filing to consulate preparation.
Book your consulate appointment before quitting your current role
Australian consulates in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth process E-3 visas, but appointment availability varies by location and season. Lock in your interview slot as soon as your LCA is certified so your start date aligns with what you've told the employer.

Find Sourcing Specialist JobsSourcing Specialist E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Sourcing Specialist jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. You can filter by job title and see which employers have an active history of sponsoring work visas, so you're not wasting time on roles where sponsorship is uncertain or where the employer has never navigated the E-3 process before.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Sourcing Specialist role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, in most cases. USCIS looks at whether the role normally requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Sourcing Specialist positions at mid-to-large companies typically require degrees in supply chain management, business, or engineering. Where job postings list a degree as preferred rather than required, consular officers may push back, so confirming the employer's job description language before you apply is important.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for a Sourcing Specialist role?
The practical difference is significant. The H-1B is subject to an annual lottery with a roughly 25 to 30 percent selection rate, meaning you could go through a full hiring process and still not get a visa. The E-3 has a 10,500-place annual allocation that has never been exhausted, so if your role qualifies and your documents are in order, approval depends on the merits of your application, not a random draw.
Can I change employers after starting work on an E-3 as a Sourcing Specialist?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and certify the prevailing wage for your new role before you can begin work. The E-3 is employer-specific, so you can't simply transfer your status. If you're switching employers while inside the U.S., your new employer typically needs to start the process before your current E-3 period ends to avoid a gap in work authorization.
