Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Supply Chain Manager
Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
Your Australian bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or operations satisfies the E-3 visa degree requirement, but your resume must frame your title and duties as requiring that specific field of study, not just general business experience.
Target employers with existing E-3 filing history
Manufacturers, third-party logistics providers, and large retailers regularly sponsor E-3 workers. Search DOL's LCA disclosure data to verify that a prospective employer has filed Labor Condition Applications before approaching them about sponsorship.
Clarify the LCA filing timeline before accepting an offer
Your employer must file and receive a certified LCA from DOL before you can apply for your E-3 visa. DOL targets seven business days for LCA certification, so negotiate a start date that accounts for this mandatory step.
Address multi-site and remote work in your LCA upfront
Supply chain roles often span multiple warehouses, distribution centers, or vendor sites. Each primary work location may require a separate LCA filing. Confirm with your employer which sites will be listed so USCIS doesn't flag unauthorized worksite changes later.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage the full process
From LCA preparation through consulate appointment, the paperwork volume surprises most applicants. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles the entire process end-to-end so you and your employer avoid common filing errors that delay your start date.
Prepare for specialty occupation scrutiny at your visa interview
Consular officers occasionally probe whether a Supply Chain Manager role genuinely requires a degree rather than general work experience. Bring documentation linking your specific duties, such as vendor negotiations, demand forecasting, or systems implementation, to your field of study.
E-3 Visa Supply Chain Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Supply Chain Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search Supply Chain Manager roles where employers are already open to E-3 sponsorship. Beyond that, target industries with consistent international hiring patterns: automotive, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, and third-party logistics. Reaching out to recruiters who specialize in operations roles at mid-to-large manufacturers also surfaces opportunities that aren't posted publicly.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Supply Chain Manager role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires at least a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, or a closely related discipline. Roles that list a degree as preferred but routinely hire candidates without one can create problems at the consulate. Your offer letter and any internal job requisition should specify the degree requirement explicitly to support the specialty occupation determination.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Supply Chain Manager roles?
The E-3 has two structural advantages for Australians: no lottery and no annual cap. H-1B visa registration enters a random lottery with roughly a 25 percent selection rate, meaning most applicants never get a petition filed regardless of qualifications. The E-3 lets you apply directly after securing a certified LCA, so your timeline depends on your employer's readiness and consulate availability, not luck.
Can I change employers or get promoted while on an E-3 as a Supply Chain Manager?
Yes to both, but each requires a new or amended LCA. Changing employers means starting the E-3 process fresh: your new employer files a new LCA, and you attend a new visa interview or apply for a change of status. A significant promotion that changes your job title, duties, or work location materially may also require an amended LCA before the change takes effect.
