Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Supply Chain Specialist
Document your degree field precisely
A three-year Australian bachelor's in supply chain, logistics, or operations is accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree. Get an official transcript and a credential evaluation letter ready before you start applying, since some employers request both upfront.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications for supply chain or logistics roles. Prior LCA filings signal that an employer already understands the E-3 visa process, which shortens the sponsorship conversation.
Find E-3 sponsorship roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork once you have an offer. Migrate Mate surfaces employers actively hiring Australian professionals and manages the end-to-end process from offer acceptance to consulate appointment.
Clarify the specialty occupation standard early
Supply chain roles are approved for E-3 when the job description requires a degree in a specific field, not just any bachelor's degree. Ask hiring managers to confirm the position description lists a field-specific requirement before you negotiate an offer.
Request LCA filing at the offer stage
Your employer files the LCA with DOL before your consulate appointment. Build at least two to three weeks for LCA certification into your start date negotiation, since USCIS and DOL processing can delay onboarding if the timeline isn't planned in advance.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent questions
Unlike H-1B visa, the E-3 is a nonimmigrant visa, so consular officers will ask about your ties to Australia. Have concrete evidence ready, such as property ownership, family connections, or a clear intent to return, to address this directly at your interview.
E-3 Visa Supply Chain Specialist: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Supply Chain Specialist jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Supply Chain Specialist roles where employers are already open to E-3 sponsorship. Standard job boards rarely filter for visa type, so you often spend time approaching employers who won't sponsor. Migrate Mate focuses specifically on Australian professionals and surfaces roles aligned with E-3 eligibility requirements.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Supply Chain Specialist role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the position is defined. A Supply Chain Specialist role qualifies when the employer requires a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations research, or a closely related field. Roles that accept any bachelor's degree regardless of field are harder to approve, since the specialty occupation standard requires a direct connection between the degree field and the job duties.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Supply Chain Specialist roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so you can apply at any time of year once you have a job offer. H-1B registration opens once a year in March, and selection is random, meaning you could wait 12 months or longer. For Supply Chain Specialists with an Australian passport, the E-3 is a significantly more predictable path to U.S. employment.
Can I switch Supply Chain employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but each employer change requires a new LCA and a new E-3 visa application or a change of status filing. There is no transfer mechanism that carries your existing visa to the new employer. Plan for a gap between roles, since you typically need your new employer's LCA certified before you can legally start work, and consulate appointment wait times vary by location.
