Hinge is the dating app designed to be deleted
In today's digital world, finding genuine relationships is tougher than ever. At Hinge, we’re on a mission to inspire intimate connection to create a less lonely world. We’re obsessed with understanding our users’ behaviors to help them find love, and our success is defined by one simple metric– setting up great dates. With millions of users across the globe, we’ve become the most trusted way to find a relationship, for all.
About the Role
Trust & Safety is a top priority at Hinge and core to our mission. We have long believed that safety and connection are not in tension - that when users feel genuinely protected, they show up more authentically and find better relationships. As a result, we continuously invest in our T&S capabilities and hold ourselves to the highest standards in the industry.
We are looking for a VP of Trust & Safety Product to lead that next chapter: building proactive, user-felt safety experiences powered by responsible AI that set the bar for what safety looks like in consumer technology.
You will own the long-term T&S product strategy, lead a team of talented PMs across safety workstreams, and build the organizational conditions for high-velocity, high-impact execution. You'll sit within Hinge's leadership team, operate across executive levels at both Hinge and Match Group, driving alignment and velocity.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Vision: Define and own the long-term T&S product strategy and roadmap, with a focus on proactive safety, felt safety, and net-new user-facing features that differentiate the Hinge brand.
- People Leadership: Lead, develop, and grow a team of product managers across core T&S workstreams including account integrity, enforcement fairness, internal tools, age assurance, in-real-life (IRL) safety, and more. Build a culture of high standards, ownership, and psychological safety.
- Execution Excellence: Drive predictable, high-velocity delivery. Create the conditions for PMs to own their workstreams end-to-end while maintaining clear escalation paths and executive alignment.
- Responsible AI: Identify and champion opportunities to apply AI thoughtfully across the T&S product surface - using machine learning, LLMs, and emerging tools to improve safety outcomes, reduce user friction, and create moments of genuine delight.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Operate at the executive level across Hinge and Match Group - partnering with Engineering, Data Science, Legal, Policy, and Operations to align priorities and remove friction from execution.
- Innovation: Translate industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging threat patterns into actionable product strategy. Champion net-new capabilities that position T&S as a growth driver.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of product management experience within consumer technology companies, ideally with significant time in Trust & Safety, integrity or a closely adjacent domain (rideshare, marketplace, gaming, social media).
- Proven track record of building, developing, and scaling high-performing product teams, with a clear point of view on culture, talent and how people do their best work.
- Hands-on fluency with AI and machine learning in a product context. You understand the possibilities and the guardrails and you know how to apply both responsibly.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex, evolving challenges (regulatory shifts, emerging threats, ambiguous problem spaces) into clear product strategy with measurable user and business outcomes.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to lead through influence, communicate clearly across executive leadership, Legal and Policy partners, and external stakeholders and align them around a bold vision.
- Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills with a high comfort level operating in high-urgency, ambiguous environments without sacrificing long-term quality or team health.
- Deep user empathy and consumer-centric thinking. You believe safety is a felt experience.
- Collaborative team player and organizational leader with a strong commitment to cross-functional excellence and culture.
- Experience partnering with AI/ML teams on detection, classification, or GenAI-related risk mitigation.
Bonus Experience
- Background in regulated or safety-sensitive domains such as marketplaces, fintech, or social platforms.
- Familiarity with T&S operations workflows, case management, and policy-to-product translation.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $300,000 - $340,000 a year
Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in New York City. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
As a member of our team, you’ll enjoy:
- 401(k) Matching: We match 100% of the first 10% of pre-tax 401(k) contributions you make, up to a maximum of $10,000 per year.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship in VP Of Product
Frame your CV for U.S. product leadership
Australian CVs often list responsibilities where U.S. hiring managers expect outcomes. Rewrite your experience to show product metrics, revenue impact, and team scale. VP-level roles require evidence of cross-functional ownership, not just feature delivery.
Confirm your degree satisfies specialty occupation
The E-3 visa requires your role to qualify as a specialty occupation. A three-year Australian bachelor's degree in a relevant field is generally accepted by USCIS, but make sure your offer letter specifies that the VP of Product role requires that degree.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Not every company knows the E-3 exists. Focus your search on employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications before. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork once you have an offer in hand.
Raise E-3 sponsorship before the offer stage
Waiting until you have a written offer to discuss visa status slows down the timeline. Mention E-3 eligibility during final-round conversations so the employer's HR or legal team can confirm sponsorship readiness before you negotiate terms.
Verify the LCA wage level matches your seniority
DOL requires the LCA to certify a wage at or above the prevailing rate for your location and job title. At the VP level, ensure the employer files at Wage Level IV, which reflects supervisory and senior professional positions, not an entry-level rate.
Prepare for consulate questions about product scope
Consular officers assess whether your role genuinely requires a degree. Bring documentation showing the technical or business complexity of your product remit, such as a brief from your employer describing the role's educational requirements and decision-making authority.
E-3 Visa VP Of Product: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find VP of Product jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
The most direct approach is searching on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by E-3 sponsorship eligibility so you're not wading through listings from employers unfamiliar with the visa. VP of Product positions at mid-size and enterprise technology companies are the most common source of E-3-eligible product leadership roles in the U.S.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a VP of Product role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the employer's job description ties the position to a specific degree requirement, typically computer science, engineering, business, or a related field. Generic leadership roles that accept any bachelor's degree regardless of field can create specialty occupation problems at the consulate. Your offer letter should explicitly state the degree requirement, not just list it as preferred.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for VP of Product roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery, no cap backlog, and can be renewed every two years indefinitely as long as you hold a qualifying job. The H-1B visa subjects you to a randomized selection process each April with no guarantee of selection. For Australian nationals in product leadership, the E-3 is a significantly more predictable path to long-term U.S. employment.
Can I change companies while on an E-3 as a VP of Product?
Yes, but you need a new LCA certified by DOL and a new visa stamp or a change of status filing before you start with the new employer. The E-3 is tied to your specific employer and role, so moving to a new company restarts the process. Most VP-level transitions allow enough lead time to complete the LCA, which DOL typically certifies within seven business days.
