Duties

• Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans covering cosmetology topics such as hair styling, skincare, makeup application, nail care, and esthetic treatments
• Conduct engaging classroom sessions that incorporate demonstrations of techniques like hair coloring, extensions, threading, body waxing, facials, and eyelash extensions
• Supervise students during practical lab sessions to ensure safety and proper technique
• Mentor students through individualized feedback and support to foster their professional growth
• Stay current with industry trends and advances in areas such as dermabrasion, laser treatments, trigger point therapy, and deep tissue massage to enhance curriculum content
• Evaluate student progress through assessments, practical exams, and performance evaluations
• Maintain a safe learning environment by adhering to health regulations and safety protocols

Requirements

• Valid license in cosmetology with additional certifications in skincare, massage therapy, barbering or aesthetic treatments preferred
• Proven experience working in the beauty industry across multiple disciplines including hair styling, coloring, extensions, facials, body waxing, and nail care
• Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to cosmetology procedures and aesthetic treatments
• Experience teaching or mentoring students in adult education or classroom settings
• Excellent lesson planning skills with the ability to create engaging educational content
• Ability to supervise students during practical applications ensuring safety and technique accuracy
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts and provide constructive feedback
