Engineering Project Manager Jobs in Idaho

Position Overview:

The Engineering Project Assistant is responsible for managing and maintaining the permitting process from start to finish. This role includes researching permitting jurisdictions, preparing staking sheets, and completing permit applications. The coordinator will also support additional project activities such as drafting, design coordination, document organization, and ongoing communication to ensure projects progress efficiently and remain compliant throughout all phases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the project team in managing and executing the permitting process.
• Prepare draft designs and technical drawings using Bluebeam, AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS Pro.
• Research and identify permitting jurisdictions for current and upcoming projects.
• Organize, maintain, and track all project-related documentation.
• Manage permit-related deliverables from engineering through construction phases.
• Communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders, including timely follow-through and occasional in-person meetings as needed.

Qualifications Preferred:

• 2+ years of professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field.
• Utility and/or Telecommunications industry experience.

Qualifications Required:

• High School Diploma or GED Required

Working Conditions / Environment:This position operates onsite in an office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

This is a largely sedentary position; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
