Field Account Manager Jobs in Wyoming: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field account manager in Wyoming?
Most field account manager roles in Wyoming require a bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, marketing, or a closely related field, combined with outside sales experience in the industry you are targeting. Wyoming does not issue a state license specific to this role, but positions in regulated sectors such as insurance or financial services require the relevant Wyoming-issued producer or securities license through the Wyoming Department of Insurance or the Secretary of State's office before you can work with clients.
How much do field account managers make in Wyoming?
Field account managers in Wyoming earn a median of about $58,970 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $36,070 for the lowest 10% to over $136,150 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire field account managers in Wyoming?
Wyoming field account manager roles are posted by Bechtel, Archrock, and Caterpillar and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Wyoming's concentration of energy, agricultural supply, and heavy-equipment companies means that a large share of openings come from employers tied to those industries rather than general consumer sales organizations.
Which Wyoming cities have the most field account manager jobs?
Cheyenne, Casper, and Rock Springs have the most field account manager openings in Wyoming right now. Cheyenne draws the largest share because it is the state capital and a Union Pacific rail hub, which attracts corporate offices and distribution operations, while Casper and Gillette are anchored by oilfield services and energy companies that require dedicated field account teams across the Powder River Basin and surrounding regions.
Are there remote field account manager jobs in Wyoming?
Yes, but they're rare. Field account managers are inherently on-site roles built around in-person client visits, territory coverage, and relationship management, which limits true remote work. About 19% of field account manager openings tied to Wyoming are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to cover inside account support tasks such as quoting, reporting, or coordination rather than primary field-facing responsibilities.
How can I get hired as a field account manager in Wyoming with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in an inside sales, sales coordinator, or customer service representative role with a Wyoming-based energy or agricultural distributor, then moving into a junior territory role after demonstrating results. Companies such as Halliburton and regional agricultural cooperatives regularly hire account coordinators who rotate into field positions. Earning a relevant credential, such as a Wyoming Department of Insurance producer license for insurance-adjacent roles or a CRM certification for tech-forward employers, strengthens an application significantly without requiring prior field experience.
Where can I find and apply to field account manager jobs in Wyoming?
You can find and apply to field account manager jobs in Wyoming on Migrate Mate, which lists current Wyoming openings. Search by city, sector, or experience level to find roles that fit your background, then apply directly to the ones that match.
