- Valid driver's license and clean driving record, required for use of the company vehicle
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus

- Drop the ego. No task that helps the team is beneath anyone.
- Take accountability and bring solutions, not just problems.
- Follow up with customers until you get a definitive answer.
- Questions and mistakes are fine. Repeating the same question or mistake is not.

Field Manager Jobs in Austin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a field manager job in Austin?
Austin's strongest hiring comes from construction and development firms tied to the city's rapid residential and commercial growth, utilities and telecom companies expanding infrastructure in the suburbs, and field services operations in the tech-adjacent logistics sector. Candidates who know Austin's permitting environment and have hands-on crew leadership experience stand out. Targeting employers active in fast-growing corridors like Cedar Park, Round Rock, and South Austin gives you the best odds.
Which companies hire field managers in Austin?
Employers hiring field managers in Austin right now include SolarWinds, Torchy's Tacos, and SAFCO, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Austin's field manager market draws a mix of national contractors with local operations and regional firms rooted in Central Texas construction, utilities, and services.
Are there remote field manager jobs in Austin?
Yes, though remote availability is limited by nature for this role since most field manager positions require on-site crew oversight and inspections. About 37% of field manager openings tied to Austin are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with those options concentrated in scheduling, reporting, and program coordination functions rather than direct field supervision.
How can I get a field manager job in Austin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Austin is through assistant or crew lead roles with residential construction or utilities contractors, many of which promote internally as Austin's growth keeps project volume high. Austin Community College workforce programs and local trade apprenticeships in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC are direct feeders. Demonstrating experience coordinating schedules, managing subcontractors, or handling inspections at a smaller Austin firm builds a competitive foundation.
Which industries hire the most field managers in Austin?
Most field manager openings in Austin sit in Manufacturing, Technology & Software, and Marketing & Advertising, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Austin's sustained population growth and ongoing infrastructure investment keep construction and utilities at the top of local demand, while the city's expanding commercial base drives openings in field services and operations management.
